So like every gas station in the south?
Meh. South La and Ms mostly have shitty gas stations.
And yes I would pay higher prices to be in a clean store and not have to be around the specialty smoke people who buy their flavored smokes one or two each at a time along with lottery purchases. How in this day can lottery customers seem to so often cause confusion in the stores?

Americans are addicted to cheap shitty food. Its vicious cycle between the availability of cheap shitty food and the consumer being unable to stop buying it.

Yes, I was just thinking how I could go for a shopping experience with even higher prices.
I'm all for higher prices if it deters a lot of people.
The higher the prices, the better dressed and quieter a lot of people are. I like well dressed quiet people.

There's one in Harrison County off of Exit 20. Has a small grocery section and an awesome hot bar.

No, they can’t sell women like we’re at an auction.

Convenience stores are one of the biggest ripoffs there is. And it’s amazing. Stop and get gas one morning and watch all the lawn guys, construction guys, etc. go in there and spend what has to be $20-25 bucks worth on a sack of shitty junk food to get through their day.

Qt is just the right niche in my opinion from product offerings, pricing and hands down the best customer service. What is one of the main things you want when visiting a gas station? To get what you need and get in and out fast. They must have a great training regiment and recruitment process because they are best in class and number two’s not close. I’m not sure of their geographic footprint but if anyone reading this has been in one you know exactly what I mean.

How is that on the convenience stores?
Those guys could easily spend a weekend day prepping their food and snacks for the week and not have to deal with that.
They don't have to stop there to get those items. They can go to a grocery store. They are paying for the convenience. That's part of the business model.

The biggest part of the rip off is when they get a bottle of water, Gatorade, or energy drink.
You can go down the street to the grocery store and get a case of water for $4

success would be highly dependent on the location. as soon as one apartment complex pops up within a half a mile, it’s over with.

We have one in front of our neighborhood that does poboys, wings , brick oven pizza. Also has a of decent selection of fresh produce and such. It stays busy so I’d say yes

In my town, most are owned by Indians but for QT and Prado. They pretty much suck.

That's basically the solution for OP
Better areas have better convenience stores, typically.

Foxtrot tried this in urban areas but the prices were so high that it was comical and it crashed and burned is spectacular fashion

Was watching some videos a while back of how nice the 711 stores are in Japan. You can actually get decent and somewhat fresh food in those places.
Italy too.
Traveling from major city to major city, when you stop at their gas stations, you can buy some serious Italian cuts, sandwiches, and even pasta.
