BATON ROUGE – The suspect in a gruesome attack that left a woman dead and others fearing for their lives in Livingston Parish overnight is known to incite fear on the streets of various Baton Rouge neighborhoods where he’s been tied to other, violence.

The district attorney's office says Anthony was wearing a monitoring device as a condition of his bond for that shooting, but officials said Tuesday they've been unable to track him using that device. It's unclear whether the device was defective or if Anthony had tampered with it. In September 2012, Terrell Anthony was also tied to a horrific 24-hour crime spree in Zion City where a man was rescued after being found in a ditch, his hands and feet bound with duct tape.

How do these thugs get off do easy? WBRZ

Typically, because Trudy White believes it is her duty to get thugs back on the streets ASAP.

I don’t think this particular guy was traced back to her but there is a long line of incidents involving people given slaps on the wrist or not properly monitored who went on to kill people like the mother in Beauregard Town, the Zachary cop serving the warrant, etc.

If needed, give a private company a contract to built a massive prison to hold all these pieces of shite. Whatever it takes to keep them off the street.

But no, Baton Rouge does not have a justice system. Everybody gets off.

And the reason a lot of them get off tends to be judges getting them “monitored” through preferred vendors who apparently can’t do their fricking job.

No. I think it's proven that it's not a deterrent.

He was due in court on the 11th for a motions hearing on his 2nd degree murder charge but was out and able to kill this poor lady. #whiteprivelege

East Baton Rouge Parish jails people at a higher rate than any other parish in the State other than Caddo, and at a rate drastically above the national average.

Most of those jailed are pretrial detainees charged with non-violent offenses who can't afford the low bond set for them.

Violent crime still happens.

I disagree with your proposed solution of "just build a massive jail." It makes me think you know very little about the justice system in this country.

Last time this happened, the paper tried to make this an issue about bond and how not everyone can get one to be released pending trial.

The problem in that specific case was that Trudy White had flagged the file of the felon involved and went behind the back of another judge to reduce bond by an insane amount (85% reduction IIRC). That felon later went on to kill a Zachary cop and the Zachary PD chief called out the court system for not keeping dangerous charged individuals behind bars or at least charge adequate bail.
