Is there a comprehensive list of American made clothing manufacturers?

Google searches leave one depressed and disgusted, and I just assume that if it doesn’t have where it’s made under the product description, it’s most assuredly not made in the USA. For instance, LL Bean has products made in America, but it’s socks, a few belts, and a T-shirt. That’s pretty much the size of it. I mean, they definitely have socks though, so if you need some socks, they have em.
Sooooo many brands I grew up with that were once made in America are no longer made in America that it’s so sad what’s become of us. I wish there was a website to shop American made that would encompass all brands and clothing options. Maybe it’s there, but I haven’t run into it yet.

Yes. LINK
I have a massive list somewhere that I can't find, but it trends toward my own fashion style. Off the top of my head, Tellason, Raleigh Denim, Pendleton, Imogene + Willie, and Railcar all carry USA-made clothing. There are a lot more, but with the closing of Unionmade, and the gutting of J.Crew and Brooks Brothers, the revival of American-made clothing might be over. It was honestly amazing between 2005 and 2017 or so.

"Depressed and disgusted" "sad what's become of us" because we dont make our own clothes? Oh yeah, the good old days when we could all aspire to a dead end textile factory job. There are legit concerns like our dependence on imports for pharmacuticals, tech, and rare earth minerals. I'm good with importing clothes from low skill low wage countries. It decreases cost to US consumers and increases GDP in developing world thus expanding markets for our higher cost goods and services. Bigger issue is our education isnt preparing enough of our citizens to compete in higher skill industries. Even the poor in US dont want to work in clothing factories nowadays. I'm just glad most Americans today have more opportunities and choices than in the "good old days."

Because the government dole pays better, and working at fast food joints pays better?

Hickey Freeman suits are made in the US.
Allen Edmonds shoes.
Some of Hart Schaffner Marx suits are made here.

The assumption here is that making clothes is "low-skill." It is not. American-made clothes now are generally nicer, with better quality stitches, with great materials. It is a shame that the last source of American-made denim, Cone Mills, closed down last year. Cone Mills denim was so highly regarded that it fueled the Japanese selvedge revival.
It is weird that Americans don't take pride in their clothing. Don't you think it is odd that a staple of the Old West, jeans, are ubiquitous around the world? People should be proud and should buy American-made clothing where they can.

Darn Tough socks...and with a lifetime warranty.
Try the reddit board r/buyitforlife. Not exclusive to US made products, but fun to search for product reviews.

Clothing is tough.
If you ever need a wallet, belt or other leather product, check out Craft & Lore. Their stuff is top notch. I've been to their store in Coeur d'Alene, ID and all of their stuff is handmade in house.

I've wondered who the customers are for Raleigh Denim Workshop. Enjoy you $300-$400+ bespoke jeans baw. Thanks for supporting local NC artisans and saving the US textile industry. I'm sure mill workers could never afford those quality pants.

When it comes to clothing, sometimes the best you can do is look for non-chinese.

People like me. The quality is far better than most jeans, as is the fit. You can find pairs at Nordstrom Rack for much less than 400. But I like spending my money where I'm comfortable in how long it will last.

Cone Mills closing is complicated, but it involves NAFTA, Western Pacific, and Wilbur Ross, and then a vulture equity firm. But White Oak Denim was highly valued among people who knew what they were looking for, and it is a shame that people do not care.

Yeah buts its almost impossible to make the billions of pieces of clothing that Americans buy because of the environmental rules and regulations considering textiles are one of easily the most nasty as far as pollution goes.
Look up Citarum river in Indonesia and Buriganga river in Bangladesh. These are where the most textile factories in the world are.

Isn’t it fuhgazy now days anyway?
Like it only has to be 51% made in the US for them to be able to say it’s made in the US?

This makes me so sad. With that said, the shirts made in Jordan fit me perfectly. I would still prefer the American made clothes though.
