Is the yearly delay of putting up TD Christmas lights an inside joke for Chicken?

Delay?
I thought the inside joke was about how unseasonably early he allows them to go up.
Everyone knows lights go up exactly one week before Christmas Day then come down as soon as gifts are opened.

Who's trolling?
It's way more efficient.
I can set the ladder up to take down the Halloween decorations and set up the Christmas ones in the same shot.

Maybe if Americans weren’t having to subsidize them to the tune of $133,000/yr per poster.

And what do we have to show for it?

I was always the "Christmas Fanatic" growing up. A week before Christmas for the lights was always such a battle.

Lights up on Christmas Eve is so much more appropriate now that i'm older and have put away childish things.

I remember they were up really early last year. We should just leave them up year round. Don’t have to worry about putting them up if they’re never taken down.

Just unplug them after the epiphany

Would be pretty funny to unplug them and have unlit Christmas lights on TD year round outside of Christmas.

Or the inverse on how long they stay up after Christmas.
