My experience is Florabama is the perfect mix of people of all walks of life. Young, Old, Rich, and Poor. Florabama in the early fall on an SEC football weekend is a sight to be seen!

As far as bars that are merely good bars adjacent to the beach - Chiringo.
I like the fact that Chiringo is there during the season when Red Bar is packed with tourist families

Honestly, Bud and Alleys is still a great spot, but I just avoid Seaside except for certain situations

Yep. Get on list at Red Bar, go to Chiringo for a couple beers, grab a beer to go and walk down to watch sunset, walk back up in time to get buzzed by Red Bar.

my family has had a camp in Grand Isle since before I was born ( I'm 28). When i was about 12 I heard one of the funniest things i've ever heard in my life.
While I was waiting in the bed of my uncles truck while he was in the Sureway, some 45 year old guy comes up to me and out of nowhere says (in the most grand isle accent possible )" Ayyy braa. You from around here? Well lemme learn u something about grand isle. If ya from Grand isle, ya eitha fish or ya fight. AND I AINT TO FOND OF FISHIN PODNA."

Then he just walked off into the sunset.

Nothing screams nice like stumbling from room to room through meat locker curtains.

It’s downstairs and supplies all the liquor to the dozen or so bars in the place

It's actually located upstairs outside of the acoustic lounge.

It is good to see the actual best area on the gulf not even mentioned. I'm talking about very uncrowded beaches and at times, no one is on the beach in sight. You can smoke weed and drink in peace and enjoy the beaches. Body boarding is nice too.

Pirates Cove is the best beach bar in the south, but I guess it isn't technically on the Gulf.

Does anyone know the exact spot where the water starts to get clear, along the shore line, in the GOM?

The clear water starts immediately east of Mobile Bay and progressively gets clearer as you head east. That bay empties a lot of Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, and Georgia silt into the GOM. The Florida panhandle bays don't have near the size of watershed as Mobile Bay and thus do not empty much silt along the coast.
