None of which are known for their reliability, especially the vans. Consistently reviewed as the worst in class. They sell a ton because they are at a lower price point and offer a lot of "extras" at base trim levels when compared to Toyota and Honda. But...their backup camera and infotainment system are all terrible quality. Unconnet is shite....but they can at least say their base model has a DVD system, so that's something I guess.

What's the last year model Chrysler you've sat in? Or do you get your information from your co-worker who's sister in law had a Chrysler 8 years ago and she hated it? That's usually how these things go...

ETA: OP, Uconnect is not shitty, i assure you. The Pacifica is very very good, that said it is a first year model of a 100% new platform...so probably best to wait at least one year model for kinks to get worked out.

I owned one Chrysler and will never make that mistake again. It was known to the family as the Crapler. Everything about it was shitty. I dont care if someone says the newer models are better.. I will never own another.

Wife drives an Odessey , co-workers wife drives a Pacifica. Both seem nice.

You must be talking about the old CUV Pacifica b/c the minivan Pacifica just came out last year.

Also not sure whey people continue to think Chrysler of today is the same as the one that was getting buttfricked by the god awful "partnership" they were in w/Daimler.

My '14 Jeep GC's UConnect and rear camera kick the ever loving shite out of the infotainment system and camera in my wife's '14 Honda CRV.

Just got rid of a 2013 T&C in October (equipped with all the crap I was talking about). I had an '08 Wrangler years ago. Owned a couple of Cherokees in the '90s and '00s. In-laws are huge Chrysler/Dodge lovers. Have a 2013 300C and 2008 Ram, which they love (and owned many others before those...Jeep GC, Pacifica, Dakota, etc). Father-in-law drives cars for the local dealership (dealer trades of new vehicles), so I get to see them all. Played around in a new Pacifica late last year after they were released and was not impressed. As soon as we got the new Odyssey, even my father-in-law admitted the T&C couldn't touch it. Quality of the resolution on the cameras/screens was crap compared to our Odysseys and a Hyundai Santa Fe I had. This is where I get my info.

Sorry it isn't to the liking of fanboys.

Sorry to hear you have given up on life bro...

Saying you have the "best" minivan is like bragging that you have the "best" STD...

I've sold used cars for a year and a half now.

The ONLY Dodge-Chrysler-Jeep-Ram product I will ever even maybe consider buying is a 2014+ Ram 1500. That's it. Everything else that comes out of those factories is a shite sandwich.

Well just to give you a little update, the camera quality was bad in the 2013 because the 2013's didn't have the upgraded 8.4" Uconnect. So I agree, the Uconnect was shitty in your 2013. But that's the problem, come on here and shite all over a brand over an info-tainment system that doesn't exist anymore. Just do a little bit of searching and you'd see your gripe is no longer valid.

The Odyssey is a great vehicle, so is the Sienna, but the new Pacifica is also good. The only issue with it is that it's 100% new, so it could have some small issues and in that case a new Odyssey is probably a better recommendation. I just get a kick out of everyone that trashes brands for issues that don't and can't exist.

Pacifica is by far the best minivan out there for a comfort, technology and all the extras perspective. The odyssey only has 2 USB ports in the entire car, doesn't let you unlock the sliding doors keyless and they don't stow away the captain chairs.

If we are arguing comfort, appearance and technology, Pacifica wins them all.....as for the longevity, there is a larger chance the Pacifica will have an issue

Nah. I do drive a Ram truck though. I just know that the brand isn't as shitty as people make it out to be. OP is asking for advice and getting bad advice because of outdated perception.

Did you completely overlook the part where I said I get to play with these cars a good bit thanks to my father-in-law's involvement with our local dealer? Again, not impressed. The Pacifica is definitely a move in the right direction, but it's still not the best minivan on the market. It does look good and the features are nice. But it's likely to suffer the same issues with reliability and resale value as its predecessor. And because of stow-n-go, seats in the second row are not nearly as plush and comfortable as in the competition. That's the one feature where Chrysler has been ahead of the curve, but it has always come at a cost.

That's absolutely not true. That would be the strangest omission of a feature ever if it were.

And again, comfort in those chairs suffers because of this feature. It's useful. We liked it, but you can't beat the second row in the Odyssey or Sienna for the actual ride itself.

My parents have an 06 EX-L with about 180k.

They have replaced the valve cover gaskets, and currently the rear main seal has a small leak (not worth fixing). It burns a little oil, and now the AC compressor is start to go out.

But that's about it for major repairs.

Same model here.

I did the 100,000 mile service plan. I change the transmission fluid every 25k.

Only repairs, I have had to do was replace clutch on auto sliding passenger door but God only know how many times a yr it opens and closes. I had to replaced front A/C blower.

Only pending issue is a small valve tap. Honestly, one the most comfortable road trip vehicles I have ever used.
