Is the Chrysler Pacifica the best minivan choice currently?

Has universally great reviews. Every auto review site seems to love the new Pacifica over other Asian choices such as the Toyota Sienna, Honda Odyssey and Kia Sedona. The Pacifica now comes with a plug-in electric option, making it the first hybird minivan in the market.

Getting over the fact that it is a minivan and don't care what others think, is the Pacifica the most practical car you can buy for a growing family at the moment?

You would be better off with the Honda or Toyota than the Chrysler/Fiat product.

That ugly Mercedes mini van someone posted earlier this week is the best option

Not sure, but Chrysler typically makes cheap, shitty products. Can't imagine this one is an exception.

What's the point of a minivan over an SUV? Is it just price?

Whoa, I remember when the Pacifica was an SUV with a Celine Dion commercial.

What happened?

I don't care what anybody says... mini vans are comfortable.

That Pacifica starts out near 30k so not sure about that. Maybe you get the 3rd row cheaper than a full size suv 3rd row?

It's says Chrysler on it so it's a POS. Keep looking.

It's a Chrysler....therefore a POS. Nothing will change that. It's nothing more than a Town & Country with a better looking body and interior. Otherwise, it's literally the same car....and you can check the years and years worth of reviews from actual owners of those to verify the POS distinction.

We have an 07 Odyssey with 191,000 on it. It is very comfortable and have had very few issues with it.

As long as you want a disposable vehicle with horrible resale value... yeah, go ahead and buy a Chrysler product.
