Serious question, its becoming so easy to get legal weed it's got to be cutting their profits.

They’re pushing fentanyl cause it’s cheap and they’re getting a good deal from the Chinese. Cartels don’t care about lives, only moving product.

Weed is low margin. Shipping costs are higher due to volume and it’s harder to move large amounts.

It's because they have a much easier time getting the basically unrestricted precursor chemicals imported compared to trying to import heavily restricted precursors for other synthetic drugs. It's also a lot easier and less risky than trying to import illegal/heavily restricted natural drugs or trying to grow them.

The cartels only care about making profit. Opiates represent the highest profit margins while marijuana represents the worst profit margins. It's simple cartel economics.
It's also why it's incredibly stupid that people believe they are "lacing" marijuana with fentanyl.

Crazy thing is Joe Rogan and Dr. Phil had this exact same conversation on the episode that dropped today.
Dr. Phil has the opinion that it's China supplying the ingredients and recipes to Mexico with the intentions of it being sold to and killing Americans while bolstering Mexico's cartels.
They're giving Mexico a way to make ridiculous profits which makes them a bigger threat and pain in the butt for us while also killing our civilians. Win-win for China.
