Is the average person more or less informed today

in regards to what’s going on in the world, politics, etc., than they were pre internet? I say people are certainly exposed to a lot more information, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they are more informed.

Much less.

People have gotten stupid, very few people read anymore, and even then most just read the headlines.

They're overly informed on very conflicting topics and no one will hear the other side out.

I think a lot of folks get their info/build their opinion based on the comments sections... not good.

I think more informed, but that isn’t to say that people are well informed now. But if you go back in time, I would posit that the “average” person had next to zero idea what was going on outside of their town at any given time.

But also, more real/true information is debunked and oppressed by the biased media, on both sides.

TV media wars are not good for the consumer.

That’s not new; it just used to be that people believed anything and everything they were told. We used to be saturated with superstitious folk wisdom bullshite
