TD prime demo is mid to late 40s white male from Louisiana or Texas. Definitely not a lot of young people posting around here these days.

There are a lot of posters in their 30s. I think because a lot of them were in college when this site started or was popular among college students.

I signed up my freshman year at LSU, and I still feel like a youngin compared to most of the posters here. I’m 28, so take that info fwiw.

Yep, I signed up my first year at LSU. I'm 30 now.

Probably pretty close to true.

When I was in college I mostly only visited/posted on tiger rant. Hardly ever ventured to the OT because the topics weren't of interest to me.

Basically opposite now, I mostly frequent money, ot, and H&g . Very rarely got to the tiger rant anymore.

Agree. We aren’t flashy enough for the snap chat and Vicso groups. They aren’t getting their rocks off reading about us 35 and ups griping about crime in NBR or Latoya Cantrell. I’d be willing to bet anyone 25 and below doesn’t post at all in the OT.

Yep that’s basically it. This site caught college aged people 10-15 years ago during the message board craze & technology has just improved so much over that time, that this site really does not cater to that age group anymore. There are so many things at the touch of their finger tips that provide the same stimulus.

Tigerdroppings also fails to use its digital footprint& social media to attract that demographic. Despite large followings, the social media is terribly bland .& lacks creativity. It models itself as a news source when in theory that only generates a small portion of the clicks.

And among other things, They have had a chance for a while to dip into the recruiting side of LSU sports, perhaps paying someone to generate recruiting content on the most clicked LSU space on the internet.

TD use to be mostly LSU students. Now those LSU students are between 30-45 and come on here to sky scream

You think the pendulum will ever swing back and a younger generation will rebel against social media and embrace what sites like this have to offer that social media can’t? Which is basically anonymity - being able to freely share ideas and conversations with a community of people with common interests without fear of being cancelled for being honest. I hope so. It’s what I hate about social media the most.

I think I discovered this site when I was like 31-32. I was at LSU from 96-00 though.

I think many have to some extent on sites like Reddit & Twitter. I don’t think the way TD censors this site would go over well with the younger generation.

Yep. TD is sort of like a series of subreddits, but much better formatted and moderated IMO.

First heard about it after college. Made an account at 25. Now I'm 30 and well I guess this is my life now.
