the "allgasnobreaks" Instagram account is full of gold like that. He just goes around the country to events and interviews idiots. The Furry and Flat Earther conventions are fantastic

Talladega is wild. It's like 4 days of bourbon street mardi gras/LSU tailgating combined. As much tits, booze, and drugs as one could ever want. As long as you don't fight or throw shite on the track you can pretty much do whatever you want.

I had a friend that went to the infield at Talladega every year.

He had a gorgeous wife that always wanted to go. He would never let her go.

He just told her point blank. "I'm not mean enough to keep a woman that looks like you safe from the crazies."

As a Natural Light drinker myself, these people are an embarrassment.

The Talladega camp scene is like no other, even in the infield RV section the shite is off the chain.

Years ago, I made homemade beads out of hemp twine and #3-emblazoned beads. Women dropped trow, bent over, and proudly displayed the butthole and bacon for them.

In another incident, I once saw a girl agree to flash for $5, then renege on the deal until her own mother advised that a "deal is a deal, honey." Then, the crowd asked to see the mother's. When she showed, the crowd went silent at the sight of two pancakes that looked like they'd been run over by a tank. Finally, someone in the crowd said, "Ma'am, you need to see a doctor."

The race might happen in Gumpland, but most of the insane shite I've seen there is done by folks from Mississippi & Louisiana and I'm thankful they come and provide that entertainment.

ETA: my first Talladega trip was in the RVs in the infield, between turns 3 & 4. There was a guy there from Picayune, MS, who said he was Theodore Bilbo's grandson. He was a Dale Jr. man and after Dale won the race, he rode around on the back of a golf cart, in a union suit, with a plastic arse hanging out the back, and a bull horn, screaming "Kiss My arse" at the top of his lungs. Did it for nearly an hour. I asked him why he thought that was a good idea and his response was, "Last year, I didn't use the plastic arse - I hung my own arse out there. They arrested me for indecent exposure. That's why I have the fake arse this year."

I had tremendous respect for his refusal to consider that the question was related to any other part of his behavior.

I look around our state and see all kinds of improvements and new industry. But then, I'm reminded that with things like Talladega and the comments section on AL.com--Alabama will never really change.

Yep My one race just to say I did. First two days spent in the pit area which was way cool. Race day in bleachers lasted 90 minutes for us. We couldn’t take it any longer, infestation was strong.

Talladega is nowhere near as wild as it used to be. NASCAR is a dying sport.

I could hang out with some of those guys

I spent the weekend in the infield in Texas two years, that's about what it's like.
