Is social media and spell check making us more prone to mistakes?

Personally, I have noticed an increase in both grammatical and spelling errors in the last decade. I was never a scholar but rereading some of my previous posts (not just here, I post on other forums) and realized I am making basic mistakes. I use "posting from my phone" as an excuse... but damn.
Does anyone else feel like they are getting dumber?

If anything, I think it improved my grammar substantially. All the grammar nazis are helping me out.

Why did you put the lol emoji after that question?
It's not funny in the least.
I make very few errors but correct them when I see them or they are pointed out. I don't care for mistakes or those who tolerate them.
You, and those of your ilk, sicken me.
Have a nice Monday.

Firefox releasing a spell check extension was a real game changer in the message board world back in 2005.

Yes
For example:
Go look up any NFL WR or DB’s twitter page
It’s like a completely different language

What is this Grammer that you speak of?
Is it the New slang for us old folk?

There are two basic and simple rules to follow for the use of a comma before but.
You place a comma before but when the two halves of your sentence can stand alone.
You omit the comma before but when the two sentence halves can't stand alone.
I think you should apologize to me.

In that case, I'll allow you to eat first, then commence the arse-whipping at Sonic.
Spineless, gutless bitch.
Now, say you're sorry.

I turned spell check off for work emails. I catch a mistake here and there after sending but by and large my writing is on point. It keeps me sharp.

I guess it depends. When I make small errors in texts to friends, I know the error is there. I'm just too lazy to go back and add a comma or something like that.
Plus, I utilize voice-to-text pretty often and rarely dictate things like punctuation in the middle of sentences. I do at least make sure to end each sentence with a period though.
