I hope you had other food groups to augment your snow-cream diet.

There is a decent dusting on the ground this am in Atlanta though.

The problem with eating snow in the south--unless in the mtns--is it is rarely going to be deep enough to avoid a bunch of shite (literally) and other contaminants.

Plus if you ate it as a kid, you were probably eating acid rain, which is of dubious nutritional value.

Yup. It's a southern thing. Three out of four ingredients are white :racist:

This sounds disgusting. Would you want to make tea or lemonade out of rain?

This thread is cracks me up.

at all the Lousiana Baws that don't realize that it snows all over the south.

And in the old days it was the best way for people in the south that live out in the country to get ice cream. You couldn't hitch up to the wagon and go into town and buy a gallon of Blue Bell.

But you could get condensed milk, sugar, and eggs and make ice cream in the winter when it snowed.

Growing up my Grandma made snow ice cream everytime it snowed.

I guess it is. My family always called snow ice cream. We had so much fun. I was talking with a women from Wisconsin and she had no idea what I was talking about.
Funny...

My wife was going on about this crap today. She's from WNC. It must be a mountain thing.
I grew up in the foothills of SC. South of Asheville. Yes we made snow cream. Ice cream is way better but it's fun for kids.

In Cajun country, it is snow and sweetened condensed milk. Heaven! Eat it about every 4 or 5 years!
