When it starts to snow, place a large, clean bowl outside to collect the flakes.

You know the saying: Don’t eat yellow snow. Unfortunately, a new study published in the journal Environmental Science: Processes & Impacts, suggests that you shouldn’t actually eat any snow at all, if you can avoid it. Snow has been found to act as a rather effective sink for tiny particles that are found primarily in car exhaust fumes, so any consumption of it is effectively like eating a pollution-flavored Popsicle.
i'll stick to the ol' SnoWizard machine tyvm

It's basically ice cream made from fresh snow
So it's something we would never make in Louisiana

Yeah, eating snow isn't a good idea.

You're asking if something made from snow is a Southern thing?

Snow cream isn't bad. Can't believe so many in this thread have never heard of it.

How can it be a south thing if it rarely snows in the south?
Posted on 1/22/16 at 9:18 am to Chadaristic

Maybe it's because so many of us live in a place where IT DOESN'T SNOW.

He thinks doing stuff with snow would be a Southern thing? It has snowed at my home 3 times in my entire life. This fool thinks I have traditions about snow?

I hear people up north have never heard/tasted snow cream.
I know plenty that make it here in NY. To those who don't know what it is you just stick a bowl outside to collect snow and combine that with some milk, sugar, and vanilla extract to make icecream. It's pretty good but not some huge deal

I know, crazy that a bunch of south LA boys haven't heard of it...

I grew up in central Alabama and can count on one hand the number of times I've seen it snow here in the last twenty years. That's no excuse.

Guess I've been lying about living in the south since idk wtf this is
Posted on 1/22/16 at 9:26 am to AHM21
We should have heard about something that most of us would have never had any opportunity to make and rarely eat? Gtfo.
Posted on 1/22/16 at 9:27 am to terd ferguson
quote:Probably. But there are a lot of places that are considered the south where it snows every winter.
So it's something we would never make in Louisiana

It's like asking if hurricanes and tropical storms are just a Minnesota thing?
