Sounds like you travel a lot, but is English not your first language ?

Like I mentioned above in my post, yeah it works awesome .. and i only use it when im traveling internationally, it allows me to watch Netflix or Prime or whatever in the hotel just as if i were back in the States.. for those who might not know, most streaming services (inc Sirius XM) block access if they detect you are in another country.. or like in the case of Prime or Netflix, they offer a very different catalogue of programs outside of America .

I've been a subscriber for years. Octane 37 (newer rock) and channel 40 (90's 2000's rock) are my go to with 80-90's country being the ones I listen to the most

For $6-$7/month it’s worth it for the sports talk.

Or live west of the Rockies were there are still large areas where there isn't cellular service.

i have had it for over 17 years for my cars. I can't imagine not having it. I use it daily, and enjoy it during long trips. I like the convenience versus fumbling for a podcast or a song in my phone.

I think its funny how so many people now criticize XM radio. It was the cool breakthrough technology for its time. It's interesting how times change.

People have all these new ideas on how to get the same thing on Carplay and what not, but I compare it to TV streaming vs cable tv. I got so sick and tired of having to login to watch tv, get logged out, Freezing/buffering issues, downed internet, APP shutting down after a certain amount of time, etc. It became such a pain that I had the cable boxes reinstalled and have been at peace ever since then. I just want simplicity and be able to turn on the friggin TV and start watching it within ten seconds, and not navigate screens and the endless amount of scrolling to find a program.

I'm good with it, but it was better when Mojo Nixon was still around.

Hell yeah! I was turned on to a lot of cool music by Mojo. Especially on Friday afternoons when he was all wound up. I loved that guy. RIP Mojo.

Outlaw Country for the win.

There is still good music being made.

I'll give Bluesville an honorable mention as well.

If you have apple or android car play, go the app route. Same shite, little bit less inconvenient, much cheaper, and you can always listen to it on your phone and in your car.

$6 a month. I keep it. Got charged $25 last month and shut that down quickly. Not sure why they just don't leave it at $6 a month. Gets old having to call every year to say "its not worth $25" and them lower it back.

Usually only listen to the news stations or live sports. For music I will just use my phone

It came with the car free for a period of time when I bought it. Then, they charged $50 a month or something like that. I called and told them I wanted to cancel and it went to $5 per month.

Exactly, you can bluetooth it to your vehicle or portable speaker. Just cancel when the 12 months is up and they will send you 20 offers in mail/email asking you to join again for $5/month. It's well worth it.

Before you travel, just plan ahead by adding music playlists and podcast shows.

Why would I want to do that, especially for music?

Part of the appeal of radio is not knowing what's coming next.

Exactly ! You make a playlist or listen to someone else's B.S. on Spotify (great for Podcasts) but sucks for music. The random playlists on the numerous stations makes Sirius / XM great. On trips we stream off my app rather than listen to wife's Spotify. It's well worth the $5/month I pay.
