Or does it just make the problem worst? I have heard some mixed reviews.

I had sinus surgery, but also took my tonsils out at the same time. Hurt like a massive bitch, but it was well worth it. I think the tonsils are what helped the most. Hard for me to tell how much the sinus surgery did, but I know that together it has helped a ton.

If you have sinus problems, yes.

If you have a hip injury, then no.

i know like 6 people who have had sinus surgery. one being my dad... and literally every single one said they recommend to NEVER do it. That it didnt help any, and that the surgery and recovery was miserable. Not a single positive review from the few i know.

This is my concern but I feel like in recent years I have heard better things about it. Were any of these recent?

I'm sure every case is different but it changed my life for the better. I battled constant sinus drip, infection, crazy snoring cause I couldn't breathe through my nose, lack of sound sleep, etc.

Had my surgery in 1994 and all that went away. Not one infection since. Wife was thrilled with no more snoring. The drip has returned in the last few years but it's manageable.

The positives outweigh the negatives by a mile, for me at least.

Its not that bad. I use to get sinus infections all the time and MAYBE get 1 a year, and it only lasts a couple of days.

I recommend. It cant hurt. I know 3 people who have gotten it and all have had positive responses.

I just take an Alegra when my sinuses bother me and/or saline rinse. Other that some things you just have to learn to live with.

I used to get sinus infections all the time. I had balloon sinuplasty. Recovery sucked, but since then no more infections. I still use the neti pot and my doctor said put a drop of baby shampoo in it to prevent infections. Now I can smell farts from a mile a way.....I guess that’s the only downside.

Major advances in sinus surgery over past 20-25 years. Sinus surgery is proven to be highly effective in appropriate patients with visible sinus disease on imaging. In fact, sinus surgery is sometimes the only available effective therapeutic option. I advise that you see a qualified ENT (Ear Nose and Throat) surgeon for a complete evaluation if you have not done so. Read and study and then ask a lot of questions. If you are unsure, get another opinion. Make sure the doc you choose is well versed in sinus surgery and that it is a large part of his or her practice.

Good Luck
