It’s not racist. It’s dismissive. Even if you disagree with particular parts of “the narrative”, there are better ways to respond to someone who is concerned with the well being of minorities than to basically say, “yeah yeah yeah, we’ve all got problems”.
Beautifully stated, and perfectly hits the mark

I posted this in another thread, but was there some evidence that the officer was racially motivated to keep Mr. Floyd pinned down?
I never heard that he made comments to Mr. Floyd or previously had racist statements or rants.
If not, why was it perceived as racism?

This isn't anectdotal Forrest.
But it doesn't surprise me that your mind can't comprehend reality, so it has to be false.

No it’s not offensive
To verbally say a specific race and their life matters, you are implicitly saying other races don’t matter

Your wife should pick up the phone and discuss with the niece. Pretty sure the semantics of the phrases are not going to be disagreed upon by your wife or the nurse. And arguing over Facebook never results in anything meaningful.

Avoiding responsibility. The Trump ilk created "all lives matter" to make themselves feel better.
Most of them don't give the first rats arse about black people.

70% are probably better off than you, so it's a start.

a racist statement and because we support Trump.

Being 100% intellectually honest, could you really see, with everything being the same in the situation, that happening to a white guy?
Yeah, me either... and that’s why it’s perceived as racist... I’m more focused on the whole brutality portion of it, but I can definitely see the racial angle to it all...

Imagine you have a child who you feel is being intentionally treated poorly by a teacher. You explain your feelings to the principal and express that you want your child to be treated fairly, and the first thing the principal says is that all kids are treated fairly at his school. Would you appreciate the fact that he said all kids are treated fairly, or would you be upset that he didn't seem to care specifically about your kid?
I'm not suggesting every BLM complaint is even legitimate, but if you're trying to understand how someone might feel, hopefully that helps.

Of course you went to bat for those rednecks that killed Arbery, so I'm not sure it's gonna resonate with you.

You and your wife need to check your privilege. Not only was it racist, it's racist to question whether it's racist, which makes it double racist. Then you posted about it, which is also racist. Which brings us to triple racist. Your obvious lack of white guilt is offensive and that's definitely racist, not to mention you have not started an apology thread or prepared reparations. You are a quintuple racist. You should be canceled.

Well, more whites die at the hands of law enforcement every year; so yes.

No. You’re not. You’re a fence sitter.

It’s certainly true that all lives can’t matter until black lives matter too.
But all evidence points to black lives not mattering. So confusing.
