I've got a desk and some chairs from there, that's it.

Is it expensive? Yes - clearly.

However, it depends on how much you like their unique style and if furniture or household stuff really matters to you. Personally, we like the style and have a bed, mirror, and window coverings from there (all bought on sale) with no regrets.

"Overpriced" is a personal opinion.

We got our son's convertible crib and nursery furniture from the one in Houston. It's extremely nice, but I am not sure if it's worth it. Too new to say if it lasts, though it seems like it will. If I have my way, he'll be in that bed until he leaves for college.

This place is great. I think it has some of the best looking stuff at some of the best value. We are furnishing our new house from here. If you have any friends in the interior design industry, they can get you nice discounts here too.

I like the antique/rustic designs from RH. However, the price is ridiculous. I'm not spending $500 on a floor lamp or $3200 for a table. The stuff is nice to look at but is overpriced by at least 300%.

It kinda depends on what you are looking for. It has a very distinctive rustic look.
The main reason why you would purchsae from them is because they have stuff that can't be found at other places (and is very good in quality).

Pottery Barn is better on pricing and has similar stuff. (Especially on bedding and fixtures).

Any of their wood and metal stuff I would say yes. Maybe some of their chairs

But I wouldn't get any of their couches

It's pretty hard to find nursery furniture that won't "last" as long as you need it, unless you plan on being like that TV couple with 19 kids over 20 something years.

Seems like a silly thing to spend a ton of money on and fret to death over quality, but who am I to dictate?

Their couches are what attracted me to them in the first place. I sat on one at Lakeside Mall and didn't want to get up. The rest of the stuff just seems to go so well with it. I really like how the Dutch Industrial coffee table and Belgium slope arm couch go together.

My parents furnished about half their house with stuff from there. From what I've experienced it's all very comfortable but I'm sure I would cringe if I saw the final bill.

Initially the stuff I picked out was over 10k and with tax 12k. Since then it has gone on sale and I'm looking at 8k plus tax. That's two 8ft couches a coffee table, chandelier, counsel table, rug and bookshelf.

I like Room and Board but it is WAY more modern than RH.

The couches I'm looking at are on sale for 2195 ,the coffee table 995, the light 1295, the bookshelf 595 and the console table 1195.

we just bought a couch, and we looked at the fancy places like Room and Board, crate and barrell and some other place. We ended up checking out macy's at the insistence of my mother, almost identical couch to room and board for $1000 less.
