There’s a simple solution to not having your neighborhood deemed a ghetto.
Stop being ghetto, and clean your shite up, quit parking in the front lawn, wash your house, paint your house, cut your grass, plant some flowers, take a little pride.
Shazam... your neighborhood isn’t a ghetto anymore.
It’s magic tricks.

Offensive? A lot of people from the hood, projects, ghetto wear those terms as badge of honor. They love letting people know they grew up in the hood or projects.

You must not listen to rap. N-word is only offensive if a white person says it.

That is how use the word ghetto. Not the people in it but how the place looks

No more offensive than calling someone 'white trash', I suppose.

If you have to ask....
Actually, the answer is always yes, regarding any question about something being offensive.

Ghetto is an actual word defining a poor neighborhood.
It is not specifically an offensive term.

i know that one time at work I put some Nestle Quick in my coffee and called it a 'ghetto mocha' and a few of the blacks got upset about it. I promptly pointed out to them that the term 'ghetto' originated from the Jewish communities in Poland so if anyone should be upset, it should be the Jews, none of which worked with us. Regardless, they were still offended.

Correct comment is "the 'hood."

The hood is just as offensive.
