Someone awhile back showed me a Reddit sub that is for homeless people. Evidently its a bunch of homeless people complaining.

Seems they would have nothing to complain about.

Absolutely.

Like Odysseus said, most normal well adjusted people aren't spending time on internet forums like Reddit. A few do, but not many.

I like perusing the AskMen subreddit from time to time. You see these well meaning men trying to help other men with things like dating.. but it's just like..

.. the man you're telling to "just approach women" may very well be a creepy arse mf with autism who must certainly cannot and should not be approaching women. Chances are, if something like that worked so well for you, it's because you're normal and attractive.

The OT is like Peak Stoic by comparison. Totally different mindset- like tough - minded people ( by and large) versus people who are always a millimeter away from total collapse.

You can add all of social media to this. Some also have the everything is perfect posting while their real lives are miserable.

Absolutely. This website has died down a lot compared to back in the day, but I still visit here because I get things out of perusing here that you don't get on Reddit. They're all ... well, kinda losers.

Obviously not ALL of them. But a good chunk.

I will say I've noticed lately the tides changing ever so slightly from time to time on there. Certainly not large scale, but every so often, I'll see opinions highly upvoted that pleasantly surprise me.

I would have thought they would say housing insecure or some BS like that.

All these changing of descriptions for feelings just starts a cycle of repeating these changes every so often when the new term becomes offensive to them, they just want a new term to then be able to get offended by the old term, or liberal white women get offended for them.

I venture over to the ZeroCovid sub now and then to witness concentrated mental illness. It really is one of the most insane places on the internet. The people on that sub have pretty much abandoned life.

Reddit is very much driven by the subreddits for which you participate. There are some great subreddits. Other subreddits are as bad as you imagine. X is still a good source of information if you can ignore the incel/MAGA idiot accounts.

I will say.. the Conservative subreddit is what turned me Conservative (I was pretty heavily left pre-2020). This website never ever would have, as many users here on TD/in the south are the type of Conservative you tend to not want to be associated with

Well I should mention, I don't know the title of the subreddit. He showed it to me on his phone. Someone had sent him a link to a specific thread and then he was like "check this out" and he showed me a thread with some guy who was homeless and was complaining about the places in his city that serve meals opens too early...

Sadly we’ve lost the “free speech” moral high ground to stand on, so as a result, it’s not like our poli board is really any different.

Imagine posting this with a straight face

Banning people for using X/Twitter links then accusing others of being fascists should be a comedy sketch.

Not trying to get sent back to indefinite banland before football season for a dissenting opinion, so I’ll just simply say “I disagree”

You’re either lying or deranged.
It was prog bots swarming on opinions dissenting from wokeness and frequent bans for dissenting too strongly.
