Is possible of City of St. George "legal" segregation?

So, I've heard some people say that creating the City Of St. George is "legal" segregation due to the demographic in certain areas of Baton Rouge. I was listening to John Delgado's radio show yesterday and Gary Chambers was hooting and hollering about how it's racial segregation.

Are there black people inside the proposed boundaries? Is there discussion of ordinances to prohibit black people from moving there? If not, no, it's not segregation, "legal" or otherwise.

Let me make this easy for you. When black folk say things like "we don't want white people buying houses in our neighborhood" and "we only want black officers to patrol our areas" that is Progressive. When white people say anything at all regarding this subject it is segregationist and racist. Does that clear things up?

Democrats play the race card on everything baw.
This is simply a bunch of republicans wanting to break away from the failed Democratic leadership that has left our schools in shambles. Democrats cannot exist without republicans, the system simply doesn't work. Take away the tax payers and they got nuffin.

Gravy is an idiot. He probably also says its racist for gated subdivisions to keep their gates closed on Halloween
Economic segregation at best. If a black family has the financial means, they can purchase a home in St George just like a white family could.

It's always funny, but not surprising, that some of the biggest opponents of the city don't even live in the proposed boundaries. Everyone realizes that some good ole tax dollars will be headed elsewhere and they panic because they know good and well that by staying in BR they are likely to see a tax increase.
It's about the dollars leaving and nothing more. Just so happens that the majority of the proposed city is white so it's another news headline to salivate over.

Yes. It would segregate the races to an extent and, if ever done, would be legal.
I think it would be temporary because in a couple decades nice neighborhoods can loose their appeal and bad neighborhoods can gentrify.

They said the same garbage about Zachary back in the day. I don't know about the overall population, but the schools are about 50/50.
