I'm in Gilbert (Phoenix area). Love it here.
Sure, it's hot but it's better than the swamp hot.
We have beautiful high country here to escape to for a day trip or days. No airfare necessary to escape heat.
Many lakes. Bass fishing is top tier.

In my younger days, I would have loved to have been snatched up by some 40-50 year old woman with money. Maybe Phoenix would have been my place.
