This thread reminds me. What ever happened to the guy stalking the senorita that was down the street from him? He call ICE on her or started sniffing her panties?

At least it’s not a rent house full of undesirables

Keep calling the cops. Every day if necessary.
But if it were me, I’d move

Naaaahhhh you're fine. Willing to bet the wife up and rolls the "house" away soon

You know an awful lot about this family for just being a “family on the street”.
It’s plausible.
I live at end of a street and only know my next door neighbor and the neighbors directly across the street. Neighbors across the street sit outside everyday and they watch cars and walking people going by and seemingly know everything about everyone down the whole street. They’ve been there for 30+ years. So I end up getting my information from them.
My house is basically always under their “surveillance”. I don’t mind it, if anything sketchy was going on, they’d let us know.

Does he have a best buddy that is vision impaired and goes by the nickname "Bubbles"?

I’m guessing Cocaine nose would be what Artie Lange has. And if your neighbor has that, he’s been doing a lot of blow for a loooong time.

But I only know one of my neighbors- but still don’t know if he has a rap sheet or not

In Houston, there’s a lot of tall and skinny neighborhoods. You pretty much know what all of your neighbors are doing.

But how do you even know the name of the man visiting your neighbor?
How did you find out he has a rap sheet?
Why does this matter to you?

Yes, I know, but I don’t need to look it up. Why should I? If he was a criminal then he’s paid his dues, and it’s none of my business. Plus, I can assume he wouldn’t be employed where he is if he had a record.
I only look up sex offenders and he’s not on that list.
Just curious how op knows who is coming and going at a neighbor’s house - and then he looks up to see if they have record. To each his own, I guess.

A family on my street has been going downhill, and I am trying to figure out whether I should actually be concerned or if I am overreacting.
The wife owns the house, is married, and has two kids. Over time, the husband stopped working and started spending more time gambling at gas stations and using substances like weed and whippets. Things escalated to the point where police were called at least once, but nothing came of it.
For the past two weeks, I have not seen the wife or kids at all, which makes it seem like they may have left the house. Since then, another guy who is confirmed to have a criminal record has been coming and going and treating the place like a hangout. There is frequent loud music, cars parking in the middle of the street, and the garage and exterior look noticeably worse.
Today was the last straw for me, as he now has the cocaine nose, and the overall situation feels like it is deteriorating fast.
The house is only in the wife’s name, but from what I understand she may not be able to easily remove her husband due to marital or common law issues.
Is this the kind of situation that usually signals a neighborhood going downhill, or am I being overly anxious about something that will likely resolve on its own?
Almost word for word what happened to my neighbor across the street, but we were new in the neighborhood so I never knew him, but my next door neighbor did, and I got all the gossip from him.
The guy across the street eventually shot himself in the house (alone).
The house was renovated, then Syrian "refugees" moved in.
That's when the neighborhood went to shite.

For the record, by whippets, I’m assuming he means nitrous oxide canisters, not the walking on sunshine duster.
