if people lucid dream it's certainly real. the dream world is as real as the physical world. Reality is all about perception.

I am often able to direct the outcomes of my dreams. Sometimes, I can halt a dream in progress and completely flip the script.

well there are some routines you can become accustom doing that will get you to lucid dream almost every night.
I've read about these things, but just haven't spent a lot of time dedicating myself to trying it.

Maybe I should

I've always read, even on here before, that this comes with sleep paralysis. Or the risk of it. Which is very frightening with lucidity.

Also, let's do a quick survey. What are you doing in a lucid dream?

A. Flying

B. fricking

Generally B but it's very situational to the in-progress dream

I have them once a week or so and they're fun as hell.

I also have very evil, dark dreams at times about apocalyptic devil shite. I have one that could be the darkest, scariest movie ever made if I could write worth a shite. It haunted me for weeks when I was awake. It was that evil.

yes briefly, but eventually your mind would produce other visions as your body shuts down. you will continue to have visions as you make your way out of the body. eventually you will go through the tunnel. focus on the brightest light in the center, and eventually you will be greeted by relatives, and angels. Your spiritual abilities and proclivities and karmas will conspire to create your reality from death until you are more obviously in the Light. You may even spend some time in mind forms you might consider as being negative, before you finally leave your brain core and go up into the Light.

practice your loving of your chosen Exemplar now. its called practice for a reason. You are practicing for the big day when you die.
For example, if you are a Christian, love God, love Jesus, and if you are Catholic or Russian/Eastern Orthodox, love Mary too. and whatever saints you are drawn to. Make loving them your job #1 before your busy day starts. even a few minutes will eventually make your days brighter and your dreaming more upbeat.

You are creating your dreams/nightmares. they are a reflection of your mind and karmas. nice that you are more at ease about them now.

There is a very affordable supplement called Taurine that helps prevent these.

Talking about the kind where you feel an out-of-body experience.. as if you are floating throughout the house.
I'm talking more about sleep paralysis

I hate those.. or the kind where you recognize you are dreaming and can't wake up no matter how hard you try.. That's the worst.

That's not lucid dreaming. Vivid dreams that you can remember and lucid dreams are not the same. If you lucid dream, you are aware that you are dreaming, while you are dreaming.

i grew up having sleep paralysis all the time so im pretty accustom to it. I have only really seen the hag 2 or 3 times, most other times it is like i hear people talking in the bedroom or outside the window or bedroom door. And the whole thing is you try to move and you just cant.

How I was able to achieve doing it was doing something you do every day that you know what the reaction would be. Some people touch glass. But i would squeeze door knobs. (this is basically the totem in Inception) If is an action that you routinely do, that you know what the outcome will be. You touch glass, you feel your hand stop. You squeeze a door knob, nothing happens. But in a dream something is different, and you pick up on it. Your hand goes through the glass like water, or you easily crush the door knob like it is papermache.

but the first time it happens you will wake up cause you get so excited. but the more you do it the longer you can stay in it. and you really dont have complete control of the dream you can just control your actions. Like i would always be in a weird cities i have never been to.

What really sucked is when you were lucid dreaming and then all of a sudden some things you were just doing, you cant anymore. And you are coming out of the lucidity and you strive so hard to go back ad you cant.

You can also routinely check your watch / phone for the time. Numbers and letters in dreams often don't look right, and that's a queue that can tell you that you are dreaming.

well usually if you are just starting to lucid dream, once you realize it you can get to excited and stop immediately. Like in my previous post. I believe that is what he was saying.

right that is just another "totem". I made up squeezing a door know because how many times a day do you have to touch a door knob. i dont think about looking at a clock just to look at it. you can make up your own. it is just about becoming accustom of doing an action that you know the outcome. But when that outcome changes you know you are in a dream.

Yes I lucid dream where the dream follow a huge story arc, alot of times i jot them down as stories. I personally love them because they are so weird sometimes and usually cool to witness.

I have fights with the devil/witches/giant spiders.
I dream about ex girlfriends and the bullshite they put you thru
I have dreams about working at Macaroni Grill and another restaurant I waited at and never being able to catch up.
