I drove through and spent about an hour In Little Rock last night. I stayed on the west side loop and damn it looked clean and overall just a nice place to live.

I have a friend who lives there and have visited several times. I've always like it. Very nice place. Fayetteville is also a really nice place.

It's basically Baton Rouge, AR.

Half my family lives in LR or the area and it's a nice place to visit.

+1

My grandma and uncle's family live in North Little Rock across the river. Decent place to live.

It would be a great place if you could get rid of the Arkies.

Little Rock has come a long way. I was there 2 weeks ago for a conference and got to see more of the city than I've seen in probably a decade. I was kind of impressed.

Arkansas would be a decent state if the southern half didn't exist

I would avoid anything in the areas between I-430, I-630, and 1-30. Basically that swath of area that resembles a triangle. West little rock is nice. Downtown has come a long way. And the Argenta area of North Little Rock has its charms.

You got an address? Because, like a lot of places, that makes a big, big difference.

Did that bar fight take place in the Peabody hotel bar a few years ago?

I have family in West Little Rock and love the area. The Chenal area is gorgeous. Once you head into NLR and cross the river though, different story. I would live there in a heartbeat. Affordable COL and it may only be second to LA in terms of outdoorsman's paradise in the south. You're also within 6 hours of Dallas, OKC, Tulsa, KC, STL, Memphis, Nashville, BR/NOLA.

West LR around Chenal Prkwy is nice. Cantrelle Rd. too for the most part. Maumelle right across the river is nice also.

However, I got a feeling that downtown is VERY unsafe after dark unless you're with a group. We had to park about 4 blocks south and west of the River Market area and just that short work there were a lot of sketch out.

I have a friend who went to school there and she said she really liked it out there. I don't have any personal experience with the city.
