It seems like it would be less stress.

Near where I like there is a four lane road with an uninterrupted line of jersey barriers for a couple of miles. It occurs to me that it is a death trap for small animals trying to cross the road since there are no breaks. And now I can’t not see that. And it bothers me. And I wonder why the people who designed it weren’t bright enough to realize it or give a shite. And almost everyone who drives on that road doesn’t even think about it.

Just one example out of eleventy hundred.

I’m on the way to Florida. I’ll post a response when I get settled.

Actually seems like a favor to the animal kingdom. The smart ones turn around and walk back the other way...otherwise, natural selection.

Absolutely. Ignorance is bliss.

Sheer bliss.

"ignorance is bliss", why do you think that saying has been around?

It's a helluva lot better I feel you don't overanalyze and overthink things.

Being observant isn't your problem. This is...

you have to reduce stimuli

If you're in traffic, and see the "same old shite" you are really just seeing 1-5 people who you are "noticing" but you aren't giving the 50 other cars not pissing you off any credit.

You tend to focus on "that guy" ignoring dozens that don't draw your attention.

You are essentially letting a smaller % of the population ruin your faith in the larger share.

But Im one to talk, I get pissed that the majority dont cull the garbage and instead enable a piece of shite to float in an otherwise decent soup.

No.

You will die an early death if you are not observant.

My mother in law is the happiest person I know, in an almost sickening, annoying way. She is also living in 1957 in her mind and believes Cortana Mall is still safe. Funny thing is-- maybe the make your reality stuff is right. In her world nothing bad ever happens. She's just happy and everything is sunshine and roses..

I guess I’m selectively observant.
Some things need to be observed.
Things or people that get me upset I try not to observe.
That way I’m not pissed all the time.
