The Mall of La aquarium is a blast for 2-6 year olds. And it’s fairly convenient/easy.

The Knock Knock museum is awesome. We have a membership and go 2x a month. My kid loves it.

Good part is that under 2 years is free. Bad is that there isn't much for them to do since most of the areas are meant for 3 or 4+. They'd have fun in the toddler area but it's not very big.

Depending on where you're coming from, If it's not too far of a drive, the New Orleans children's museum in city park is better. It's a lot more open and spacious so it doesn't feel like your toddler is constantly about to get trampled by a 4 year old, and the toddler only area is at least double the size.

The good thing for you is that everything is an adventure for a toddler. I used to just take my son to the mall to walk around and he’d find plenty things to amuse himself. Or go to Target and check out the MILFs. These are free options. The child won’t remember the outing after two days so no point in spending much money.

A 16-month old is entertained by pretty much anything. Instead of the aquarium in Nola, maybe just take her to a pet store. I'm serious. They'll have tons of different types of fish, lizards, guinea pigs, birds, etc.

And if you have a dog/cat, she can pick out a special treat. She won't have to fight hoards of people to see stuff, and you can take your time.

I wrote one, thought about it, and decided it was not worth it.

Hammond has a kids museum as well. Have been a few times. Not that large but very interactive

And they have a bar around the corner where she can buy you drinks.

Correct, but it’s okay, for the owner will not be charged in the matter…only the workers

I thought the mall aquarium was over priced and felt dingy.

Actually took my three youngest to the New Orleans Aquarium and Insectarium (same building) earlier this summer and was pleasantly surprised. It's not the best in the country but it wasn't bad. Certainly worth going if you haven't been or haven't been in a while.

The Blue Zoo in the MoLA is WAAAAAAAY overpriced. You can walk through it in like ten minutes, and my toddler used to do just that. So it’s not worth the $30-40 we’d pay to get in. They at least do have coupons sometimes on their social media so if you just ask the kid behind the counter they can show you to it and get it scanned for you. I’ve also had a kid just charge me for my son and gave me a massive discount before as well.

But the NOLA aquarium is actually pretty cool. And the zoo is legit good. The insectarium is also cool and is attached to the aquarium. So it’s very easy to catch both. And you can do a package for all three and save money too I believe. But it makes for a fun day with kids.

I highly recommend getting the membership. A lot of children museums are part of the network that Knock Knock is associated with and will provide a discount. It's something we have used in Gulfport and Fort Lauderdale.

The bottom floor has a play area perfect for 2 and under, but you can get by with some of the other rooms. Just let your kid run and follow.

Yup. Just make sure the diaper is on good. I’ve seen it shut down due to accidents lol
