When ice melts, the water sits on the top of the drink so if you don't use a straw, you're always taking the worst sip. No thanks.
you gotta drink faster...maybe you should use a nipple instead of a straw

The OT never ceases to amaze me sometimes. I literally never knew this was a thing.
Im not about to explain myself for drinking out of a straw, but do whatever floats yall boat

only use a sissy stick in a restaurant so I don’t lip a germ off of a glass.
Again glassware is cleaner than most things in the average restaurant. Same people that use a straw suck all day on a soup spoon.
I’ve worked part time at restaurants for over 20 years. The farther you get from the ghetto the less people use straws. The tv show The Wire had a great bit about that in an episode. But I’ve seen people use straws in martini glasses, wine glasses, and champagne glasses. The same crowd that requests a straw orders their steaks well done and wants the Heinz 57 and A1 sauce.

More childish than feminine, but no man should be drinking out of a straw unless it’s a milkshake, smoothie, or frozen drink.
Why? Give me one good reason that a man shouldn't drink out of a straw?

At home no unless it’s a cocktail. Weird I know.
Restaurants, always.
Restaurants, always.

For snorting?
Works better than a bill
Yeah, but snorting out of a rolled up bill gives it a little extra character. Gives it th at extra flavor you don't get from a straw.
Nothing makes you feel like more of a baller than snorting a fat bump of blow of a hot girls tiddy (can't make a line on a decent sized tiddy. arse is better for lines, but I'm a tiddy man)

Did you ever stop to think how many other noses that money has been in?

That thought never crosses your mind while you’re in the moment

Speak for yourself.
And I’m not licking the Coke end of a rolled up bill.

No one said anything about licking the dollar bill

That's where the extra flavor came from
UAB did a study once where they found that like 90% of $1 bills have trace amounts of cocaine. Really shows you how many poor people there are out there, sad

So reading this thread a couple of weeks ago made me reflect on the fact that I get fast food a few times a week, and that it would take very little effort to reduce waste by keeping a resuable straw in my car. So I ordered a straw and wanted to give a review. I don't think it's worth its own thread, so I'm posting it here.
The titanium straw I ordered cost $11 exactly; not cheap but as long as I don't lose it, it should last forever. It came with a bag and a cleaning brush. So my first impression was that this very light, super strong thin-walled tube with an anodized violet finish was pretty cool. But here's why I wanted to review it: after two weeks, it's still a slightly negative experience using a metal straw. First of all, the non-smooth anodized finish still seems a little weird to my lips and tongue. And I swear there's a slight taste to the metal, even though titanium supposedly doesn't have a metallic taste. And using a hard metallic straw just isn't as pleasant as a soft chewy straw. So even though I'm used to using it now, it's still noticeably not as pleasant to use as soft plastic.
A glass straw would improve the sensory experience but it would still be hard, and it would be relatively bulky (thicker walls) and fragile. A polished stainless steel straw might be better. They are both much cheaper than titanium so I will probably try both of those other materials as well to see if it's a better experience.
