I've definitely worn my Sub more than any other watch I have, but I've also had it the longest. I have an A serial no. 16710 GMT master II that I bought in 1999 that competes most closely with the Sub for wrist time. My Sub has tritium markers and the patina is excellent.

I'm with Obtuse on the faded bezel inserts, but can't stand to see a missing pip.

I think it's more trashy to care about such things.

I have a g-shock that is solar powered, and sets its time to the national f*%king atomic clock every night.

Never have to think about it. Was 80 bucks I think.

It should outlast me.

I'm not spending 5k on a watch when I can get a Suzuki SV650 for that.

It's not necessarily because you're trashy, but your dismissive attitude about those types of watches and the people that like them tilts the scales toward the fact that you may be trashy.

In 1969 my mom sent my Wyler Incaflex to me in Vietnam … I had to wear that uncomfortable son of a bitch up my arse for 12 months so it wouldn’t get stolen.

No, it's not.

This is the answer, if you are a respectful person (business or personal) a watch gives you a quick glance. If you pick up your phone in a meeting, it draws attention and devalues the entire meeting based on your clients/friends few point.

I do like nice watches, just not at this point in my life.

No I like motorcycles better than watches.

And if they offered a 50k version of said motorcycle with "fine swiss craftsmanship" I wouldn't buy that one either.

To each his own.

I am 50/50 on missing pearls. I think I want to like the look because it is "cool" but my OCD wouldn't let me live with it unless it was a truly beat to hell Sub that I did all the beating to. Even then probably not.

No lust for a Ducati Superleggera V4? 350lb (dry) and 224hp unless you weigh tree fiddy or more that is a helluva power to weight.
