Do it man. Not sure who would downvote you. You will for sure make your children proud.

Do it. Don't be afraid. You're never too old to learn something new, and get credit for it.
College is full of guys just like you. Same age and all.

This for sure! My son started Kindergarten this year and I started college, he just got home, and we're already asking each other what we learned

Biggest thing for grad school is you have to write a lot of research papers which can be time consuming because you have to source and quote everything in it.
That's the hardest thing to learn for old timers because it always has to be in some particular format.

Never to late to educate or improve yourself.

Never!
I taught my craft at night at a technical school. My best class was the late class with all the real world dads in it. My best students were over 40. They were great to teach

You're the second person on this page to do this. I hope it's intentional.

More like a lack of proofreading, I'm afraid.

My doctor graduated in engineering and decided, when he was in his 40s that he wanted to go to med school..
A cousin of mine.. His wife didnt go to college, but wanted to be a teacher. She was in her mid 40s when she went to college and now teaches..
Mike Foster, former gov for La went to law school, after his terms were up. He was in his 60s I think.

Education is never a bad thing. Keeps your mind active and healthy. Learning new things can offset dementia and depression.
Learning new things stimulate your brain cells like learning a new language does.
Stay active.

I knew someone who retired at 58 from being a real estate agent. Finished his nursing degree by 61 and is working in a geriatric department.
It's never too late to follow your dreams as long as you are smart about it financially.

I went back in my mid 30's. Best decision I've made.
ETA: It depends what you intend to study and what your motivations are.
For instance. When I retire from engineering, I intent to go to culinary school (for personal fulfillment and enjoyment).
