I'm not attached to things like that. It frees you.

Changing oil is cathartic.
Hell, I collect samples of my oil and send it in for analysis.
Yes.
I'm that wierd.
I bet you eat your french fries in order according to length

Ehhh. They have more experience than I do. I mean I know how to change oil, but I would bet they've done it more. Keep your receipts. If the screw something up, hold them accountable. Plus so get it done at the dealership under regular maintenance intervals anyway.

Gave that shite up years ago. It cost at least $20 now to buy the oil and filter and I can get it done for $25 to $30.
Plus I hate having to take the used oil somewhere

I'd rather do it than take it somewhere. It's much easier these days than it used to be. The dang filter is right on top.

Fumoto quick drain valve. This makes changing oil on one of my cars take 5 minutes.

I still do it so I can check what the hell is going on under, knowing I go off roading a lot.

Yeah, the man I pay to do it.

I think everyone should at least know how to change their own oil.
Why?

Nah.
I make your mom count the inches though.

Is it the mans job to change oil?
I remember the look my father gave me when I told him I'd brought my car to have someone else change the oil.
It's the same look he gave me when he found out I'd hired someone to mow my lawn.
Very similar to the look he gave me when he realized I'd stopped going to his barber and had a woman cut my hair.

Is this code for buying the astro?

Also, I feel like everyone should know how to drive a stick. But that seems like a lost cause nowadays.
Why? Car manufacturers hardly even make manuals unless custom ordered. It's like wanting everyone to learn cursive or how to work a Zune

I agree with both of these. I don't change my own oil anymore, but I could if I felt like it. I taught my wife how to do it too.
Depending on what cars are like in 16 years, I'll teach my daughter too.

That's just completely untrue.

Changed it to hardly. It's a rare thing to find on the car market

I got a degree in engineering and an MBA so I wouldn't have to do things like car work, yard work, house work, or moving furniture.
