Whats yalls thoughts on a 9u coach that has a 5 minute profanity laced flat our yelling session berating the kids and saying he was embarrassed to be their coach after a loss to a superior team? I almost lost my shite.....
My kid would no longer be on that team.

My kid is 11U, played a KY team in the PG semis that beat us by 1 two weeks ago, went out and run ruled them in 4 yesterday. I have never heard a coach berate a group of 11 year old kids like that teams coach did in my life, and I’m from the days of the OG chew you down like a dog coaching era.
The ones that do that are always there for themselves, not the kids.

It's the Indian (rain dance, not hammer pants), not the arrow.

I had an offline conversation with the coach and expressed my thoughts of his actions. I also had a discussion with my boy who obviously was very dejected about the situation being he tried his best and did not deserve to hear that. He is learning a valuable life lesson about dealing with human beings...... i feel bad for the entire team. they screwed some things up but the coach was only practicing them once a week for the last month. he needs to look in the mirror.

My 9 year old daughter is in coach pitch this year and was using the tball Cat bat but was told she needs a softball bat. The problem is she’s super tiny. The best I could find was a 27 inch -12. Any ideas?

what made the green zen illegal?
it originally met the 1.15 standard out the wrapper but within 25 hits it no longer did
guessing same with hype fire
email said safety and integrity of the game.

umm find a different team ASAP!!
you want the coach to be someone that you would be proud for your kid to grow up and be. someone that is like an older brother to the kids

well in Hs i get it, ive seen quite a few hands sliced open but they are not needed at youth level but it is not hurting anything. if they like it, let them.
all you are doing with that attitude is sucking the love of the game out of it for them. let them pretend to be big leaguers...not hurting anything
its just an old man yelling at clouds take. do whatever you can to keep kids in organized sports as long as possible and as many of them for as long as possible

Hmm, what if a player in an otc or usssa gets injured by a batted ball from a EHF? Seems like a lawyers paradise.

To a degree, yes. But the position of all arrows are the same is nonsense. Some bats EV are hotter than others. Some are more durable than others. They are not all the same.

yeah well just wait until he finds the umpire that has a 6 foot strike zone for 4 ft kids.

Sounds like you did your research.
I'm not arguing. I'm just stating that I don't see any 12U kids where we play using a -5 bat most are either -10 or -8. Also, just stating that when I see kids using heavier bats at such a young age, it's normally driven by the parents thinking they are better than they actually are.
You don't have to agree.

And, don’t let other kids use the bat because they don’t take care of it like their owner.
What are they gonna do with it, play baseball?
