Is it possible to eat too much ice cream?

I make my own ice cream because, well it is better than any store bought brand I have ever had. I have a 2 quart churn and a 6 quart churn. A couple of weeks ago I made 2 quarts and it didn't last me and the wife long so this week I made 6 quarts. Then Tuesday the wife got an emergency call and had to go out of town. I have pretty much been living off of ice cream all week.
I mean it seems like a balanced diet to me. It's got milk and eggs, cream, a lot of sugar, some vanilla extract. Throw on a few strawberries every now and then and some chocolate syrup. What else could a man need.
I got up this morning and thought, what do I want for breakfast.....ummmm ice cream.

My mom was diabetic. She ate a lot of ice cream. Live to be almost 90. It might be miracle food. Let us know how you do.

No, it is not possible to eat too much ice cream. I am willing to volunteer for clinical testing.

I’d be right there with you but ice cream causes insomnia for me. Not sure if it’s heartburn or what not but I have cotton mouth after eating it.

Yes. The first symptom of this is fat.

No, cause it melts, so no calories.

My saintly mom made her own ice cream. Always a churn of each: Banana, Cherry, and Pineapple. I was always the one picked to sit on the burlap sack on top of the churn, while one of my older brothers turned the crank on the ole wooden 2 gallon churn. A chore that was eventually passed on to one of the grandkids. Your post brought back so many happy memories of ice cream parties on summer evenings.
I love ice cream. Hummm! Maybe I need to shop around for a wooden churn. Don't even know if you can find those anymore.

That would be like trying to eat too many Reese's PeanutButter Cups.... or eat too many 'tater chips.....
It's just not possible!

quote:Our childhood memories are similar. My Granddaddy used to run to the ice house and get a block of ice. He would chop it up with an ice pick and throw it in the churn. Pour salt over the ice and cover it with a burlap sack. Then it was the grandkids job to turn the crank for an hour or so.
