So how often do you let your dog shite in someone else's yard?
I don't pick it up either. The horror.

The initial point of this thread centered around people putting bags of dog shite in other people's trash cans, not allowing a dog to shite on another person's lawn. Two completely different things, and the latter is unacceptable unless you live in a rural area where dogs roam free all day.
Well, neither is acceptable for normal people.

I'll throw my dog's poop in your face, pussy.

my 2 year olds shite is worse than your dogs
so if you want to have a shite throwing fight, I'll win

People are fricking lazy
I can understand the yard-waste garbage collectors leaving non-vegetation in my yard, as I think they run the stuff they pick up through a mulcher--not sure if it's just to save space or if they recycle it somehow. Are you saying it should be my responsibility to pick up his doggie bag that the garbage collectors left on my lawn?
And no, I don't have a problem with anyone putting their bag in my can if it's at the street.

You probably throw under hand. I'll take my chances. 100lb dog's shite vs 25lb kid's shite. I'll need a catapult. You'll need to get a real man to help you.

I'd prefer my trashcan not get filled with dog poop, but I can't imagine a scenario in which I'd care if you threw the bag in there. Same for a passer by with a water bottle or something else I don't want to end up in the street or on my yard.

In all seriousness, whether this is acceptable or not totally depends on where you live. If you live in a crowded city, then yeah, it's acceptable. I live in a nice area in New Orleans (not an OT baller, just live as an outcast among OT ballers) and people put their shite bags in other's trashcans all the time. Some people just leave their trashcans by the sidewalk at all times whether it's trash day or not. If there's a trashcan on public property (i.e. sidewalk, street, etc.) it's fair game.
Things that wouldn't be acceptable: not picking up the shite, dumping the shite into a trashcan that's actually on the person's property.

I pay for my trash service, and regularly wash out my trash cans because I don't want them smelling like garbage while sitting beside my house. I have my owns dogs and they shite plenty enough. Placing my trash cans on the curb for pickup does not mean I am providing them for public use. We have people that park on the curb sometimes. I wonder how they would feel if I tossed a bag of dog shite into their vehicle because they parked it on public property.

Im going to come throw all my fish guts and crawfish peelings in your garbage can

Has this been mentioned?
Buy a large one...clip the bag to part of their leash. You don't have to carry it. Problem solved. It's what I do when I bring my dogs hiking and don't want to carry back a poop bag for several miles.

Yep. I pay a monthly fee for the pick up AND pay a separate fee for tags that have to go on each bag of trash. The tags have different weight limits on them (they're not actually being weighed but will not be picked up by the trash guy if they're obviously way heavier than the tag allows for). I'm not cool with anyone putting anything in my trashcan.

Can you put it in the compost instead?
Posted on 7/22/15 at 9:23 am to Tiger1242
Only trashy people do things in their front yard anyway, so dogshit there shouldn't be a problem. Dogs can shite in my front yard anytime.
Posted on 7/22/15 at 9:24 am to Tiger1242
No. Would you like me to shite in your trash can?

That's why we have a doggie door into our back yard as well

Wait....you never pick it up? I mean...I don't go following my dogs outside every time they run through the doggie door and promptly pick it up....but we routinely pick up all the poop in the backyard. In fact I have to do that today before the landscapers arrive tom am.
Posted on 7/22/15 at 9:28 am to Tiger1242
I'm guilty of doing this once but I stopped because unless it's a full trash can, that's going to go to the bottom, and it's going to stink up their trash even worse for a couple of days and has the potential of not getting emptied and sticking around even longer, as I have experienced in our own trash can. If that happens, I'd feel bad making someone else having to endure that smell because I didn't want to carry it around anymore.
