I generally agree. However, I didn't cry at my mom's funeral back when she passed. To be fair, I think I was still in shock since she passed suddenly when I was 21 or 22. Had plenty of time alone to come to terms, though.

Of course men can cry. I cried like a baby when my son was born and I have 0 shame for it.

I did too and I still cry at times after my son passed.

The ability to let your emotions surface allows you to feel the full range of what it means to be human. Sure it's not all pleasant but you certainly appreciate the beauty of life on a deeper scale.

Stoicism has taken place, but so does the display of emotion.

Yes, it’s fine for men to cry. Just don’t make it a habit.

As for me, luckily I haven’t had many opportunities to cry in my life. I know how incredibly fortunate that makes me compared with a lot of people.

I will admit the scene in Armageddon when Harry pushes AJ back into the ship and then speaks to his daughter still makes me tear up
