My BIL just tried to leave Jackson and get on I-20 to come to the hunting camp. So far he hasn't moved but about 5 miles in the past hour.

An hour ago State Troopers were saying 20 through some parts of Bham are impassible. In the rural areas outside of Bham with hilly terrain they said don't even try.

You will not make it past Birmingham. The terrain in east Alabama will end your trip at Leeds.

You won't make it out of the Birmingham metro area. State Troopers are telling people to basically avoid I-20, particularly east of Birmingham.

lots of on and off ramps still closed in central ms. if you are going west and can get to Clinton, you are pretty much good to go.
