Yesterday I passed by this guy's house who is around my age, who I have always sort of knew of. When he was a kid, he lived in a house that had shite piled up everywhere outside. Evidently it was even worse inside. I think it was just him and his dad who lived there, but it is safe to say his dad was a hoarder.

It's been awhile since I passed by his house, it was probably soon after he moved there (as in within a year or two of him and his wife moving in). I remember them having everything really nice. The landscaping was well done, it sort of stood out in terms of how nice they had it. Fast forward to 6, 7, 8 years later (yesterday) and it looked as if they haven't done much work with the landscaping since they first fixed it up.. They have an open parking garage and that's when I could see it. They had shite everywhere. 4 or 5 bikes (they have 2 or 3 kids). Boxes stacked up, it looked as if they took their Christmas decorations and put them in their garage. It was as if you could see it starting to build up.

Just shite that they probably should have just gotten rid of (like a few of the bikes.. especially since one or two were rusty). The house he grew up in had boxes of shite that filled their garage to the point no one could park a vehicle in it and that's what it's starting to look like. It's like there are boxes of shite they could throw away, but they put it out there... As if one day they will use it.. Seriously, do yall think that shite is genetic? How does someone go from making their home look really nice outside, etc to just piling shite up?

Genetic? No. Environmental? Yes.

Yes.. No seriously, I have no idea what are in the boxes. I am not sure what someone can accumulate that would require to be put in a lot of boxes that are just put in the garage.

Whoring is.

i live in a heavily covenanted neighborhood in part to avoid the potential of having a hoarding issue with any of my neighbors.

I would think whoring is more environmental. Hoarding can possibly be some type of mental disorder, but I don't know if it's something that can be passed down.

There is some environmental element to it but the amount of sex drive has a definite genetic component to it.

I care much, much more about whoring than hoarding so I've never considered it.

Still haven't.

Bruh, I can really do some damage. My footrest would frick up your shines.. And I am not even joking. I'd make you chase me... And since I will keep going as long as my battery is full, I would wait until you get worn out then come from the side and run into you, then punch you in the face then dare you to chase me again.

Little of column A, little of column B.

Hoarding can be the result of mental illness, which can have a genetic component, or it can be the result of formative experiences such as living with a hoarder.

Older people may be hoarders due to growing up in poor economic times and feeling that they can’t throw anything away in case they need it eventually.

Sometimes people attribute value to something and can’t bear to throw it away because of the belief, typically mistaken, that they would be able to get something for it.

And then there are the people who are just plain ill like the Crazy Cat Lady, who possibly does it due to a toxoplasmosis infection.

My mom-in-law keeps a lot of things that create a large degree of clutter, I wouldn't say she's a hoarder because the living areas of her home are neat and clean, just mainly garage and an office are full of shite. My wife has a tendency to keep a lot of things that are unnecessary. I mention something about once a month, "hey, what is this, do you/we need it". Then it hits her that she's got some of that trait from her mom. She promptly throws it out or it goes to good will.

Okay... Me and you... You sit in an office chair. Name the place and time. Anyone want to set the odds to the fight?
