How many make money?

Good for them chasing a dream, but I doubt many are successful.

Zoomers love these shows.

They have this newfangled thing called "reruns."

If you raised wages on these jobs the workers would still bitch and complain just as much without working any harder.

Grandkids and their friends.

You appear to get irrationally angry at this.

It is. They originally aired on OTA TV. They stream the reruns.

words don't change, Jethro. Streaming is a verb, rerun is a noun in this context.

Poor people who escape poverty and become upper middle class have faaar more credibility than you

They actually use these principles. You think money grows on trees

generally i'd agree and i've never been one to knight for the poor, but idk. it's $15/hour in a major metro area for a real job in 2022.

i'm sure you could find people who would complain if it was $20 or $25, but it would be a hell of a lot less.

I consider that to be more of the entertainment industry. Some YouTubers are quite useful.

How much excess money do you think he has to pay this "living wage" you want him to pay?

You seem to know so much about his business.

I don't know and I don't care. The fact of the matter is if OP needs to fill the position then he needs to offer the market rate. If he can't do that and the position is required for his operation, then he's got a failed business model.

Instead of fixing it he's here calling the market retarded.

Thats what I thought.

You have no idea if this guy can afford to pay your "living wage." Youre running solely on emotion.

Shocking.

or not. His business may just suffer. He may not be able to pay your "living wage."

Emotion over reason. He should just hire temps as needed, save money.

It depends on how many subscribers they have and the type of content they provide.

Uh no that would be OP running on emotion. I'm running on the reality of the market. If OP can't afford to pay his employees, it's a failed model. That's just how it is.

Then his business suffers. Should he try to be better or bitch about the market?
