Wait, zoomers are the most put upon now? I thought millennials had the claim on that a couple of years ago?

Can we sell those benefits on the black market or something?

As it turns out the Boomers are still in charge of everything and they continue to make things worse for each successive generation.

They were. And then the boomers continued to frick it up and make it even worse for the next generation

You understand none of this is opinion right? It’s easy to look up wages over time relative to purchasing power. Why can’t you grasp that?

didn’t qualify as a boomer when I first heard the term as a kid but the sliding scale adjustment has made me one, I’m at the twilight of a pretty awesome career and all I try to do now is give back, I’m a mentor to young kids trying to get ahead in life, particularly those in my field, one thing that I find common, and depressing, is how I can continually “lead the horse to water,” but the horse isn’t thirsty enough,it’s incredible how much coaxing I have to do to get these kids to push the button and get in line for a very lucrative career, one that has a historically high demand for people right now

Yet you support the kind of policy that Boomers used to "destroy your little world."

One day you'll find a connection between policy, protectionism and why everything is so expensive.

We don't need more money, we need cheaper stuff. OUr money is on the verge of worhtlessness. The only way out is recession.

A lot of boomers have no identity outside of work so they refuse to retire and keep screwing things up for everyone else

I would be ashamed if my success depended on other people leaving their job. Woof.

That's what happens when you work hard.

Just did some research on those Buccees jobs. Required to work weekends and holidays. Rotating shifts, so sometimes nights, sometimes days.

Health insurance options are expensive with extremely high deductible. Doesn't cover things like pregnancy, more than 3 doctors visits.

Another Glassdoor review mentioned they got a raise and then their hours were immediately cut.

Sure, that $22 looks good in theory, but there's a reason their turnover is so high.

Half of the boomers are under 65

The pool of applicants aren't top tier. Lower classes aren't the working poor of days gone by. Doesn't take much to distract them.

If this thread is any indication Boomers struggle severely with numbers and economics. They are in here legitimately claiming that $15/hr is plenty because it was plenty 40 years ago. Also, they think they are entitled to someone else's labor at whatever rate they offer, apparently having no clue how capitalism works.

What should min wage be?

Should government offer benefits to young able bodied people who refuse work?

What is your plan to slow inflation?

I'm not a Boomer but I don't necessarily think someone can expect to graduate HS and walk into a job with no marketable skillset and expect a wage where they are completely self sufficient. I don't think that's been the case for 30 years. Maybe it was in 1962.

Holy shite, you've been warned for years this was coming. I love this Johnny come lately shite.

Typical left winger, no clue what Capitalism actually is. This isnt a free market, capitalists are struggling like hell to overcome government ineptness.

I haven't seen any such claim. You just made that up.

Quite the opposite. If it takes $30 a hour to attract a forklift operator in a warehouse, capitalism will ensure that warehouse gets automated with robots. That has been stated in this thread, and it is absolutely true. I think you are the one who doesn't understand capitalism.
