How do you know?
Do you know a signifivpcant number od CC people?
Are you aware of their past?
Are you able to read their mind?

I think this is funny, I haven’t mentioned or alluded to emotions at any point here. I’m pretty adamantly against arguments that revolve around emotions. And, contrary to what a lot of you probably think about me, I’m not really “left leaning” at all.

What's a gun nut?
I own a number of guns. I don't consider myself a gun enthusiast by any means but I've been around them my entire life.
I know a few people that are hobbyists - enjoy building, customizing etc. I don't see anything wrong with that. I wouldn't consider any that I know gun nuts. They just enjoy hunting, shooting etc.

And I'm trying to tell you that they're "scared" in the same way someone buckling their seatbelt is "scared". I suppose you think that people who actively maintain a general situational awareness are "scared" too, right?

I can look at crime statistics and the likelihood that you accidentally (or intentionally) shoot yourself, is higher than the likelihood that you use it to protect yourself.

Every industry feeds off fear or insecurity..
If I lived or worked in certain cities or parts of this cities, I'd sure as hell carry. It's not an unnatural feeling.

Most likely people who don't daily carry and haven't taken safety Courses

I’m not sure what I’m “in”, but I can tell you that my beliefs are 100% mine and not influenced by anyone else.
People who are 100% pro gun are just as bad as people who are 100% leftist in regards to the NPC meme.

I'm 100% pro gun and I don't care if you own one or not. I don't care if people are anti-gun. I just think people stigmatizing others for wanting to act within their rights to protect themselves is condescending, ignorant, and generally retarded.

Someone who will not take any sort of criticisms about guns or who believe the phrase “gun control” is a “bad word” and nothing regarding gun laws should be re-visited.

Well gun control is a term, not word and it is bad. However some might see it as necessary.
All "control" by government is authoritarian and bad.
I don't know anyone who doesn't like some criticism of guns. Mention Hi point on the OB and watch what happens

I’m extremely late and I doubt this will get noticed much but as a firearm instructor and one who carries, I don’t necessarily see carrying as accepting that society is in decline.
99.9% of the people I see around me every day never harm me. The people who carry do a risk analysis of that 0.1% that cannot be planned for.
The responsibility a carrying a firearm is a huge one and if someone wants to mitigate that very small level of risk by giving his or her self an option for lethal self defense, so be it. That responsibility is on that individual. If they screw up punish them. If they don’t, leave them alone.
I am also pro-constitutional carry (permitless carry).

I view it like this. A person that carries bear spray isn't afraid of bears. If he was he wouldn't go into bear country. He's just not naive.
Good point. I live in bear country, and would have to carry spray to the dumpster if I was really scared. But hiking I carry a firearm or spray in some areas to mitigate the risk

It's too late for me to try to find the article but concealed carry holders are some of the most law abiding citizens in the country.
It's the guy packing the stolen 9mm in his saggy pants that will be most likely to shoot you. He doesn't give a shite what the laws say.
