Yep my brother has been addicted to drinking this crap since he was a teenager and he is forty now and has damaged his heart.

here's a head scratchter. I was in the grocery store a few weeks ago to buy Pedialyte bc I knew I was getting real drunk later. I head to the baby aisle where it's been for years and it's gone, so I ask someone and apparently know they have to keep it behind the counter in the pharmacy section. Wtf??

People will drink that shite in the bathrooms and toss the evidence. Once saw 3 bottles of delsyn in a trash can at walmart and knew some shoplifter was robowalking around high as fug

possibly. i know only certain cough syrups allow you to get high and most have removed the ingredients
*ETA: after googling, it seems that brand did allow you to trip at least as of 2011. it's a time-release trip so mellow and long-lasting

and no, Dextromethorphan, the active ingredient in Delsym, is not used used to make meth.... that would be pseudoephedrine or ephedrine....
DXM, at higher than normal dosages, causes a mild high, and possibly visual and auditory hallucinations.... that's why it's locked up, or you have to be a certain age to get it....

Not sure if it's locked up in NOLA. Main ingredient is Dextromethorphan, which is derived from Morphine. A while back when kids were drinking bottles of Robitussin to get high it was the mixture that had Dextromethorphan in it.
If I remember correctly, Dextromethorphan can cause fatal heart events when the user is also taking Ibuprofen.

Pic has ingredients blocked.
OTC meds with......
Sudafed = Meth
Dextromorphan = Robo-walking.
Don't know how many versions of delsym there are.

1 "version", 2 flavors... orange or grape
but the DXM is commonly found in other cough and cold products.... for stuff on your side the counter, combo products have 2 or more of the following (along with their reasons for use): guaifenesin (expectorant), dxm (cough suppressant), diphenhydramine (anti-histamine), and phenylephrine (nasal decongestant)...
on my side the counter, sub out the phenylephrine and sub in pseudoephedrine...

One: buy the children's grape dimeatapp.
Two: the adult dose listed on the back is almost half the bottle.
Three: if you drink the delicious nectar of the gods, don't forget and drink a few beers.

You don't know what Actavis is bro? Act is the real purple drink, was pulled from the market last year.
You could pour 2-4 ounces in a baby bottle and sip or pour into some Sprite, Fanta pineapple, or other fruit flavored drink for optimal taste.

Sadly, 7th is one of the only ones in this thread who knows what the frick hes talking about. Delsum has nothing but shite in it if youre looking for a high, especially the 12 hour extended release. Its not a sought after syrup like Activis once was, now you have to look for Hydrocan or any with the Codiene in it. Promethazine is usually mixed in it by the manufacturer to stop nausea and from you from vomiting it all back up. 3 ounces in an ice cold pineapple fanta used to be my shite when i was young and dumb.

No it's not, Promethazine is the prime ingredient

I'm always amazed at how little I know about illegal drug production and use compared to most of the OT.
