No, this virus is mild in the vast majority of people.

Since the OT chicken littles will want sources, here is one (of many) that show a sizeable portion that are asymptomatic: We show that the screening result is suggestive of the asymptomatic ratio at 41.6%. Then add in the sizeable portion of people that show sub-clinical symptoms (mild cough and low grade fever). The actual serious complication percentage is incredibly low and only statisically significant amongst the elderly and those with underlying conditions.

Surely a loving God would let us know it's coming.

Jesus also said his return and final judgement would happen within the lifetime of some of the people listening to him speak:

quote:

Matthew 16:28

quote:

Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.

That is a pretty big swing and a miss for a divine being.

Why wouldn't we refuse to repent when he just sent a fricking comet to hit Earth?

That whole book is just a bunch of made up stuff.

History and a host of scholars disagree.

Just because the human authors of the bible threw in some historical facts like the book of kings to lend believability to their concoction (decades and centuries after the supposed time of events) does not make all the unproven magical nonsense true.

Sure, because we have never had earthquakes, famine and pestilence.

When you consider how vague descriptions are it has been fulfilling that prophecy since humans existed.
