You're the only person retarded enough on here to bash Lafayette while living in one of the most ghetto shitholes in the state.
you are in the wrong thread sir. In this thread we are making fun of the eclectic set of try too hards and vajazzled pant afflictionites that frequent lafayette bars. Oh and the douchebags like you that try to deny these types are quite readily found everywhere in lafayette.

Opelousas is the butthole of this area. It's so bad.

The decline of the cash money oilfield baws created a vacuum and allowed the poli-sci, queer studies bros to rise around town. It's like our very own Middle East in Louisiana.
At $54, the Baws are slowly mounting a comeback, and we will Make Lafayette Great Again.

Laffy is like a 90's version of The Outsiders but with bedazzled jeans right?

I can't wait to see the fog of diesel exhaust return to town.

the guys who have never worn a suit or jacket professionally, who turn up in gaudy blazers to try to impress desperate women.

Wow, I guess I should throw my tuxedo away also.

You wear a tuxedo to a bar?

Kidding. Once a year to a Mardi Gras ball.

And if that's all we ever were, are or will be, we'll be a tumbleweed ghost town by the time your grandchildren are grown.
But hey, Orgeron, Clay Higgins, Condon, UNIVERSITY OF LOUISIANA, DAMMITT!!!
Maybe we deserve it.

I don't think I've ever seen so many mad USL baws in one thread.

You're right there next to Red's... Lafayette... what'd you expect?

I've been to Corner Bar in Lafayette a few times and also the one in Youngsville (I live in Houston but have family in Lafayette area). The scene is usually a professional looking crowd of 20s/30s. Not that large of an interior and is more of a laid back spot rather than a 'club' feel.
I realize Laffy gets the Affliction label at times and agree with the others that it's mostly from the other areas surrounding Lafayette. While I don't think I've ever been to Livingston Parish, I've read enough on this site to think that it's probably similar to that area going into Baton Rouge on weekends and wearing their Affliction for the big night out on the town.

Growing up Laffy was the closest city but we just bypassed and went on down I10 to BR.
I'm glad you found a city where there are not pretentious try hards.

Nope. I'm from Lafayette and I can't stand it.
