Parents, siblings, relatives, and friends do it every day. They are just never the same.

My Mom had a full on break down when my little brother died. It took a lot of therapy, support, and medication for her to get to a point that she didn't want to kill herself.
I can honestly say I wouldn't have blamed her if she had.

I've never been suicidal, but I've been seriously clinically depressed. You don't think correctly, and if you don't have people on your life I can easily understand it spiraling out of control.

Sorry, that was my decision. Just in case you needed someone to blame.

Of course it's excusable. I wouldn't think any less of them. Clowns in here post stupid shite because they can't actually understand that pain. It has to be devastating.

So you aren't going to excuse him?
I'm sure he's not worried about what you or anyone on a ,estate board thinks.

I can certainly empathize with people who are feeling that low.

I can’t imagine having to deal with that kind of hurt and depression.

People should be called out on this shitty kind of response with regularity. Such basic thinking when it comes to such a complex subject (mental health).

Expecting someone to live in complete misery just so you don't have to miss them makes you the selfish one.

This, too.
Clearly anyone who can take their own life is in a mental state that most of us cannot pretend to understand.
To throw labels around like "selfish" in regards to someone who was so mentally broken that they overrode their own instinct for survival is just short-sighted and illogical.

Anyone who responds this way to a suicide is a fricking idiot.

Suicide is a mortal sin, so not excusable.

I don't know how people live after losing a child. I don't think I could.
Just can't fathom it. If it were both of them...forget it.

Nah. Given your elementary response, you should probably take your own advice though.
