Is childhood the best time of life?

I’m talking birth to 18 years old. I get the feeling that, personally, my happiest time in life was when I was a kid. For most kids, life is pretty carefree except for homework and chores. You don’t have all the stress and responsibility that comes with being an adult and you have the bliss of ignorance when it comes to how effed up our world really is. One harsh reality though that a lot of kids have to deal with is bullies at school, and I can attest to the fact that that was a negative side of childhood for me.
I know every situation is different and that unfortunately some people had a horrible childhood because of circumstances out of their control.
So, generally speaking, how many of you miss your childhood days and think of that time as the best time of your life (so far)?

It’s pretty good at 40 if you’re rich.

21 was a pretty great year. Don't remember much though.

It’s the most innocent.

I think it all depends.
I was a nervous little shite. Now that I can drink beer, I don't feel as nervous all the time.

middle school in the summer
Play baseball all day.
Sleep over at friends house for days at a time.
Eat chicken nuggets and cheetos every day.

Yep, love it when my kid do is doing homework, while I am making a bourbon and coke.

You didn't do college correctly.

You can reminisce about childhood, but still feel that present day is the best part of life. That's how I feel currently.

Every stage has its benefits and drawbacks.
It's all incredible. Even the bad.

Not at all for me. I hated school until I graduated high school and you were either living under parent's rules or sneaking around.
College was the turning point to real happiness for me. Studying what I wanted to study, now doing the job I want to do, owning my own shite etc. I really don't get people who freak out about "adulting". As long as you get a solid job paying bills isn't that damn hard.

Looking back, probably yes.
When you're young you can't wait to grow up but now I miss how innocent and happy I was.

For me 30s was the best. You are usually not broke by then, comfortable with who you are and somewhat settled down. I'm now looking forward to my mid life crisis.

Exactly. No real problems. Ride bikes all over the neighborhood. Build treehouses and shite. Play every single sport in the back yard. Swim at neighbors house as long as his dad fixed the fricking pool. Nintendo inside when it's raining.
