Not sure about your work, but every place I've worked at calls this adoptive leave and you can get up to 4 weeks (2 wks pre-adoption and 2 wks post-adoption) regardless of sex.

Yes, personally it is against my beliefs. That being said the government shouldn’t be in the marriage business. If you want to marry a man or a dog or a goat and you can find someone to perform a ceromony then go for it. But the government should be involved or recognize it one way or another. That is between you and God.

Maternity leave for Mothers is often because they had a pretty serious surgical procedure. Length of time for bonding and all that.
A lot of good companies have parternity leave for fathers that is about the same as what a woman gets on top of her leave for the medical issues.
Adoption is a different thing all together. If you are selfless enough to adopt take all the time you want.

I don’t understand why sexual preference became such a human rights issue. If they wanna be “married” that’s their decision. It doesn’t affect me. I just think it’s opening the door for more and more silly things. There will be marriages to objects and animals in the future. A guy is already marrying a sex doll.

Also I don't think gay couples should be allowed to adopt children. They may be stellar parents but introducing a child into an already deviant lifestyle just adds another element to an already confusing lifestyle.
Personally I have nothing against gay people in general. They should not be harassed and abused because of their lifestyle. But they need to keep the weird shite they do to themselves. Kids don't need to see that stuff.
Go to Disney World and they're everywhere and they can't keep their hands off each other.

I don't really care if 2 men decide to butt frick each other. The government sanctioning this as a marriage is a different issue. With that being said it's the law nationwide now and there are far bigger issues.
