Why is it trashy?
Slavery did not help the economy.

The devil that somehow is responsible for making the US a rich country?

Somebody on here might have taken it.
What do they teach in black and women studies?
Posted by Somebody2 on 8/9/18 at 12:04 pm
Also, what jobs can you get with these degrees? Other than being a black or women studies professor?
The only problem to me is that he seems to have been accused of those offenses but never actually convicted in a court of law.

My dog is 8 years old. She's probably about halfway done with her life, as amazing as that seems.
Anyway, I've always thought we need to use more torturous methods of execution. Such as crucifixion or some of the methods discussed in this article. LINK
I find lethal injection and even the electric chair to be far too nice to the criminal.
With that being said, you have to convict somebody before executing them. You can't execute somebody based on mere accusations.

If he's actually guilty I have no problem with the crucifixion.
With that being said, the article said he was accused and didn't say he was convicted of anything. If that's accurate than I have a huge problem with the crucifixion.

I could be wrong, but I get the impression that a lot of black people will get this award. It seems like a reaction to the complaints about the white Oscars.

Probably.
It's a decent living that requires few skills.

This seems like the excuse to fire the president, rather than the actual reason.
Please stop talking about Black Lives Matter, even to criticize it. I haven't heard about that movement in years, and I want to forget it exists. Or that it even existed in the first place.
The age of consent in Louisiana. However, this seems to be a forcible rape case, not merely statutory rape.
Second degree rape in Louisiana is standard rape, with no aggravating or mitigating factors. First degree rape is rape committed at gunpoint, rape against a person under 13 or rape of a person over 65. Third degree rape is having sex with a person too drunk to consent.
Statutory rape (consensual sex with a 13-16 year old) is carnal knowledge of minors in Louisiana. It's not charged as a degree of rape like it is in some states.

Seriously how many people from Ft. Lauderdale go on tigerdroppings?
I don't think Kublai inspired the fear that Genghis did.
Not including Jesus. (Who wasn't powerful until long after his death.) I'd say.
Hitler
Stalin
Roman Emperor
Ottoman Emperor
King Louis
Pharoh, Chinese Emperor
Pharoh and the Chinese emperor would probably be the least powerful since they ruled over one country while the others reigned over larger territories.

re: What things from today will people be nostalgic for in 30 years?
Posted by Somebody2 on 8/6/18 at 7:48 pm to OysterPoBoy
Perhaps not. But I can say for a fact that kickoff returns won't be around in 30 years. Or even 10 years.
Kickoff returns. Which will be outlawed soon.
re: Two female sheriff’s office employees arrested after sex with the same inmate
Posted by Somebody2 on 8/6/18 at 3:55 pm to Tigerbait357
Why do they even have women correctional officers in men's prisons?
The media isn't talking about it in part because it doesn't fit the gun narrative. But also because averted disasters usually don't get that much attention.
re: Is anyone actually against gay marriage?
Posted by Somebody2 on 8/6/18 at 12:42 pm to whoisnickdoobs
I don't really care if 2 men decide to butt frick each other. The government sanctioning this as a marriage is a different issue. With that being said it's the law nationwide now and there are far bigger issues.
re: If you could do anything, how would you get rid of crime in America?

I view prison as a way to keep bad people away from decent people, rather than a way to deter anybody.
I'm in favor of it being legalized
Namibia is prosperous in part because it was part of South Africa until about 25 years ago.
Botswana is prosperous because of diamonds.
And actually prosperous is a relative term because those countries have about the same GDP as Mexico. Which is great by African standards.

Algeria, Tunisia and Morocco are not sub-Saharan Africa. They're primary Caucasoid people with some negroid ancestry, similar to Yemenis, Puerto Ricans and the Landrieu family.

I'd send blacks back to Africa. And Hispanics back to Latin America.
Then I'd create a mandatory minimum sentence of 20 years in prison for rape or armed robbery. With armed rape or rape of a person under 12 carrying either a 30 year minimum or a mandatory life sentence.

re: How to fix Africa?

The main problem in Africa is the people's genes. Which unfortunately is fundamentally unfixable.
Although lessening the corruption on the continent wouldn't hurt.
