Edgar is the Latino version of New Iberia haircut. It's common in Texas.

I saw a dude in Assumption Parish awhile back with a New Iberia haircut. I was at someone's house and pulled up in an older model white Chevy truck that had purple lighting under it. He had one kid with him that he was carrying and another got out and ran inside. When I saw the purple lights on an older model chevy truck I thought that it was probably some young dude in HS and I paid attention just to see if I was right and it ended up being a middle aged dude, with a New Iberia haircut with two young kids.
