Is a F150 Super Cab accommodating for a car seat?

Prefer the bed space with the Super Cap vs a crew cab, but I do want some space for a car seat/just general cab space. Finally leaving my two seater Tacoma behind as I ready for my first child.

Indeed. Booster seat and carrier.

Enough room. If you have multiple kids, it'll be much tougher to put anything in the back seat with the double cab vs crew cab. Can get a bed cover to help with that covered space but just throwing that out there to think about.

The dip cup holders work really well with baby bottles.

You can get a longer bed with the Crew Cab. Best of both worlds.

100%
I’ve had all different brands of trucks, not loyal to any particular type, but I’ve loved my lariat more than any other truck I’ve had. Plenty room for the wife and three kids

You can choose the 5.5 or 6.5 bed length on the crew cab.

Yes. That's exactly what I drive with a car seat.
The suicide rear doors help access the rear seat big time.

At one point, I had 3 carseats in my old Ford Super Cab. I just had to find 3 seats that were narrower than other brands.

Stay away from the 2018-2021 ten speed transmission. Do research before purchasing.. google ten speed f150 transmission problems..

The first vehicle that I ever bought for myself was a 1997 Ford F150 Supercab. It was the first year with the one suicide door on the drivers side. Bench seat, vinyl floors, roll up windows, no power locks. I paid $17K. Damn I loved that truck.

But does the Super Cab have enough space in which to conceive that first child? That should be your first question.

Yep, it also comes with a back seat occupant warning for those idiots who forget to take the baby out of the vehicle

I have a 2017 f150 super crew with a 6.5 bed. Back seat has more room than the Tahoe/yukon my wife drives. Have 2 car seats in there no problem. Only issue is someone sitting between then has to sit sideways.
Like others have said, 10-speed transmission is an issue. It seems to have trouble deciding on gear on slow acceleration from 35-45mph, which causes a waver. The other issue is if I jump in and go without 1-2 minute warm up, on the first big acceleration, I’ll lose power (to the wheels) for half a second.
But it’s has a ton of power, much more than the prior z71 I had, and more than a 2500 that I would use to pull trailers.

Not a rear-facing one, no. Anyone saying yes has not actually put one in their truck and sat in the front seat. Whoever is sitting in front of the baby will be cramped up against the dash. They make crew cabs with the 6.5 bed if you really need it.

Keep researching any truck brand you are interested in and you are likely going to find issues that someone says not to buy it. Just saying.
Given that, OP I have had both. Yes a supercab is fine. Fine being the operative word. If you have a baby on the way and you plan on keeping the truck for 4-5 years I'd HIGHLY recommend going crew cab. Its so much nicer for them to have their own door.
For example, I dropped my kid off at school and for them to get out of a super cab you have to open your own door, unbuckle, and then they open their door. The seat belt for the driver is connected to the rear supercab door, or so it was on mine.

I would get the larger bed and get the crew cab with 4 real doors. A ton of leg room in the back seat and at 6’2” I don’t even put the drivers seat all the way back.

I have the lariat. Recently I sued ford and won due to problems with the transmission. Ford acknowledged the problem.
