I want a Roomba. Does anyone own one? If so which model? any protips or negative reviews?

I have the 880 and love it. Have about 2200 sqft with a dog and it keeps it very clean running every other night.

I think the only difference between those is a remote control you will never use.
I have a neato. The reason I chose neato was price and it doesn't just randomly move around. It's maps out the area and goes back and forth. It doesn't have all the wasted movement of a roomba

Takes longer for the roomba to clean whole house due to random movement. My neato does my 1800 sq ft house in about 30 minutes

I don't use the remote. It runs about 1.5 hours every other night through the whole house except master bedroom.

They work great on wood floors. Mine keeps my shedding black labs fur cleaned up

definitely check out the neato. it seems to be a better design and less prone to failure. everything I read about the roomba is that it is inefficient and breaks alot.

Find one that is used on Amazon for half the price. We love our roomba. It's smaller than a neato as well and can get under a lot of furniture that the neato can not do fyi

I just bought the wife a Neato botvac85. We cleaned the kitchen and sitting room earlier with it. Spotless. Given that we've had it for 6 hours, no longevity reviews yet.

The biggest selling point is that it maps out each room, cleans that room, and then goes on to the next.. If the battery runs out before it finished the whole house, it goes back base and charges, then starts again where it left off earlier.
Unless something has changed with roomba, they just run randomly until the battery dies. Recharges itself, then waits to be started again. It does not pick up where it left off earlier
